This is the strange part.
Ok this is what is kinda strange about the trip. I filled up before I left and drove till I had aout 1/4 tank. I made it the rest of the way and drove it around town the two days i was there. Finally, I filled up right before the trip back, expecting to have to gas up 1 more time before I got home. However, I made it ALL the way back with miles to spare. Now this is across West Texas so It's not like the trip back was down hill. The picture I've attached was taken when I first noticed the MPG. I neglected to take a pic when I filled up the morning after our return but remembered what it showed. So it took I'd guess 1.5 tanks to get there and less than 1 to get back. Never seen that big a difference before and I've made that trip dozens of times.
Anyhoo I like it.

That's pretty solid MPG too. I average around 24-25mpg in town and I have a short commute of just 15 minutes. I have a fairly heavy foot so I'm pleased with the mpg over all.

Thats solid. I did a 350 mile round trip at 85-90 in relatively flat Florida and I couldn't get over 25.6mpg. At 50/50 city/hwy tho I'm getting like 20.8-21.5mpg.

On my local freeways if I'm wanting to save gas or I'm not in a hurry and don't feel like I'm in competition to race everyone I stay all the way right and go 65 or so which is the speed limit. Every once and a while I'll come up behind someone even slower and I'll drop my cruise to match them. If the consumption graphs are accurate I'm getting between 30-40 mpg when I'm going 55-65. Mileage really drops off exceeding those speeds as you're wind resistence really goes up.

Getting 24-25 in city driving seems pretty good. I do about 17 highway and 8 city every day and when I'm pretty careful I'm averaging about 24. What really kills it is stop lights and drivethroughs.

How have you liked those tires? I went from Michelin Primacy MXV4 on my Camry which had very good, quiet ride to those Yokohama. The ride was noisier and they were squirrely as heck. On the way home from having them installed I felt like I was riding on roller skates. When I checked the air, for some reason there was 40 psi in them. I lowered them and it rode better but never felt right so I finally took them back to Discount Tire and they warranty replaced them with Michelin Defender T+H which were great.
