I think the ES seats have a softer cushion. I had a NX loaner once and the seat was softer than the GS. The GS seats are firmer, probably because of the sporty dna of the car.

I have a 2017 FSport, I do not like
1. The Idle chatter it makes at idle
2. The engine could have been quitter
3 It is not as quite as say a BMW .

Otherwise it is fun to drive once to decide to put your foot down. Mark Levinson is great.

Remove the sound generator. I did and I enjoy driving my fsport way more now. Look up thread "Sound Generator Disable "

1. No where to place my smart phone.
2. Mark Levinson sound system is mediocre.
3. AWD models: whining sound from the transfer case between 40 to 50 mph.

The 2016 Prius has two different battery packs: the least expensive Prius Two version uses a nickel-metal-hydride pack, a technology in use for 20 years now.

But all higher versions employ a lithium-ion pack that's dimensionally smaller and much lighter for every other version—including the Prius Two Eco model that delivers an EPA combined rating of 56 mpg.

....

Under revised 2017 EPA fuel-economy testing standards, the best non-plug-in hybrid in the mid-size sedan category is the Honda Accord Hybrid at 49 mpg city, 47 mpg highway, and 48 mpg combined.

Today's outgoing Camry Hybrid is at the bottom of the EPA numbers among hybrid mid-size sedans, with its highest rating at 42 city, 38 highway, and 40 combined.
I've driven the Honda Accord Hybrid that uses lithium ion batteries and it is impressive (not sure about long term reliability of it). Definitely understand about Toyota using NiMH due it being "proven," but to stay updated and competitive with new technologies, Toyota/Lexus will need to ditch NiMH eventually... just a matter of time until something new takes over.

Why oh why did the interior designer make a step in the drink/cup holder .. instead of smooth top to bottom ending at shift-level panel.

I think I know why ... they had to oversize the cup-holder for US market and ended up with a step.

LOL yes! I can't say it really bothers me, but I do think it's a bit odd and could have been integrated better.

No TPMS. Just tells you when the tire gets low but not the actual PSI numbers. I think they only started adding it in the 16 and up GS's.

My 2013 shows the actual PSI's, probably because you live in Canada and your gov doesn't require tpms.

No, all GS 350s have tire pressure readouts. Maybe the lack of tire pressure readings is a Canadian thing.

Interior ambient lighting could be improved.

I do really like the car for many reasons, but I do have complaints.
1.Hitting the power button shuts off everything: there are hacks to get around it, but it's a total pita that I can't turn off the engine and keep talking on the phone/listening to a podcast/radio without an awkward workaround. It isn't even a setting option I can change. Every other car I've owned with a push start has this.
2. My B pillar is pitted from the seatbelt handle smacking it. Looks like I locked a stray cat in there that tried to scratch its way out. 3 years old. Again, never had that and we usually keep our vehicles for 8 or more years.
3. Some really basic functions need you to "learn" instead of a designated button. Eg. no "mute" for media, instead you must hold the Media button. Again every other vehicle I've had in the last dozen years had a dedicated mute button on the steering wheel controls. I did find out the function after looking for a while, but my wife or kids as occassional drivers often complained about those things.

My complaints.

-Pretty disappointing rear seat room for a mid size sedan, especially when they offer rear seat controls in the Luxury, which it had a extra few inches.
-AWD ride height stance
-Wish radio unit had preset physical buttons and more physical buttons for functions, wish hvac had ac button and more dual functions like air flow,
-wish seat heaters/coolers were closer to driver and not blocked by drinks in cup holders.
-Mouse controller extremely annoying and needlessly difficult to use, voice recog. not very good.
-No affordable 8 cylinder option, wish had more power with the 6 cylinder.
-Wish there was a light birds eye maple wood option.
-Wish it had heated/cooled cup holders and some real metal trim
