Things You Don't Like On Your GS
Couple things I don't like about my GS that I didn't know upon buying it.
On my factory remote start there is no way to get in the car and drive w/o it shutting off first despite having the key fob.
No way to lock the car with it running from outside of it.
Overall I love the car but when you are used to being able to do the things that you can't with the GS, its disappointing

No Android Auto / Iphone Car Play.
And I don't care much for the scratches when something hits you on the freeway.

I just washed my car for the first time in a while and I am so on board with this. I never noticed how scratched and pitted up my bumper is, it's ridiculous. Should have had it PPF'd.

1) When the engine is running, you CANNOT unlock any of the doors from the outside (using remote or grabbing door handle). It's as if the keyfob is deactivated when engine is running and the keyfob is outside proximity of car.
2) Driver seat cushion cannot go low enough. I'm only 5'10" but I just feel like I'm sitting on top of the seat instead of "in" it.
3) Bottom of steering wheel gets rubbed against (even scratches from pants zipper) due to reason #2 when exiting / entering with engine on.
4) No bottle holders within the doors

The only things I don't care for are:
1) Too much wheel gap (admittedly fixable)
2) Loss of Pandora through Enform
3) No Panoramic Camera option
But I'm nitpicking and trying to come up with things I don't like. The GS is just an awesome car.

I have a 2013, so this might not apply to all, but...
1) Lack of tech/forward thinking with infotainment system and with other things (I would ideally want a Tesla type of control on each little detail of the car. I haven't used Android Auto/Apple Car Play, but that may be a good option as well.
2) Somewhat related to the above point, but the ability to remote start and not having the car shutoff as soon as you open the door. In addition, you should be able to change HVAC all settings (i.e. temperature, A/C, fan speed, open/close each of the windows, etc etc) all from the app. All of this should be free (no additional cost like Enform).
3) Navigation should use Google Maps/Waze which would auto update over the air so that way there is no need to pay a dealer to spend 1 hour providing small updates to our navigation updates through a SD card.
4) Satellite radio should be free
5) Seats should be not just air-cooled (blow a fan), but actually utilize the HVAC system to blow cold air.
6) I have a hybrid, so the use of lithium ion instead of the older NiMH batteries would be a nice.
The other things, I won't mention, since I was able to "fix" them or upgrade/enhance them using small mods that members of this forum suggested (see my signature).
Don't get me wrong, I still love the GS, but if I had to build a more perfect car (for me) - these are things that I would want improvements on.

2015 GS
No manual A/C button.
No place for sunglasses.
Customize modes, i.e. normal mode with sport+ handling
Enform costs, remote start should be standard without a service

I guess I'm one of those who doesn't think the infotainment is horrid! I use the inform app to look up destinations, then send it to the navi. All frustrations with trying to find and address using the joystick are gone. I haven't found any built in infotainment to be anywhere near friendly. Having something like Apple Car Play makes the difference and those systems are actually functional. Steps are somewhat the same as Inform app, but way more cool.
I actually found the system in my Z4 to be the best. That car was all about the clutch, stick shift and volume ****. No navi, no nothing. Just raw power and fun like cars used to be. My navi ran off my phone when I needed it. Otherwise, the 12 speakers were rocking my socks off regardless of the top being up or down or the speed I traveled. A built in navi would have ruined that car.
To be quite honest, If I could just have that kick butt system in the GS with navi running off my phone, with a decent place to mount the phone for visibility, It would make the car. I actually don't need an iPad on wheels. Stick shift would be heaven, but as it sits I'm pretty happy with the car.
I agree with the seats, but the Lux pack has enough adjustments, I actually do feel like I'm sitting in the seats. It was one thing that made me want the lux package real bad. With back issues, I can hardly ever get away with basic seats!
