GROM VL2 installed

Battery pull cleared the Trac off and CEL. However, the Elec. Key error is still present. I'm still not able to revive my Vline though. If you put your car in manual mode is your car shifting from 4th to 5th to 6th OK? This to me is SUPER bizarre but I wonder if the car depends on some type of speed input to allow shifting into the overdrive gears.

Well that's logical that they would ask what software or firmware you were running. Software is the interface of VL2, firmware corresponds to the underline OS of the device. They need to know exactly what version you were running to diagnose your issues. Withholding that info will only delaying their response to help you. I hope they will continue to support you. Most companies would void your warranty if you installed unsupported experimental BETA software/firmware.

No information was withheld but since the unit will not display on the screen I'd have no way of telling them the exact version. I updated directly from the update prompt no "beta" software. Even if it was beta software that was offered by the company through there own device with no type of "back door" install that would be something I'd suspect a company would still support as that testing obviously produced a bug in the beta software.

Gotcha, I thought you installed BETA. So weird you're having all those issues. Never even heard of it, and I've read up on most of VLine threads on CL and other forums. You may have to manually "flash" back to the previous firmware. Support will show you how to do this...keep us updated.

@yelloiroc What version beta did you install? Was it firmware or the VLine OS?
Update. Pull negative battery cable for a bit, all codes cleared and I'm a happy camper. On a different note. Props to Gromm they responded very quickly and respectfully told me to stop being stupid by installing Beta updates. 😁

@jdpdata How exactly did you mount yours and with what velcro? The glovebox has a sort of thin felt material over the whole interior and I can't really get anything to stick.
