LOL I wish they pay me for pushing sales.
Why did I get a feeling I was going to get a comment like this No, I don't work for GROM.
Just an enthusiastic GROM customer wanting to share my joy with other fellow CL members.
There are other members that may be interested. Some may not know about the discount going on now.

Edit: Or root your phone (assuming you're using Android) to run a Tasker profile to automatically launch hotspot when phone is connected to Lexus BT. Create another profile to turn off hotspot when your phone is disconnected from BT. On some phones, this works without rooting. There are many apps (MacroDroid, IFTTT) in the PlayStore that will do the same thing if you don't want to mess with Tasker. This sadly doesn't work on newer Samsung phones like my Note 8.

T-Mobile SyncUP Drive, buy it on your plan and plug it into you OBD port and you get constant wifi hot spot everytime you turn on the car. I don't have it but apparently ATT and Sprint have one too. I may get it.

AT&T has the Harman SPARK. Can't find many reviews on it. Would be interested to know how well it works, but this would be ideal for a grom. "Unlimited" data for $20/month doesn't seem terrible, especially if you have a family and take a lot of long trips.

Got a firmware update today, wonder if it's official Android Auto support. Where the heck do I find the changelog?@gromaudio

@gromaudio Seconded , where is the changelog? Also does the VL2 support Wired ethernet adapters , aka USB?
I'd recommend you run it off cigarette adapter hidden in console box. I tried to download AA from PlayStore, it's still not supported yet.
So I have no idea what the latest update added or fixed without seeing the changelog.
GROM is not very active on CL anymore. I think they are focusing mostly on Nissan/Infiniti forums now. G35/37 dudes are getting some love.

Updated to a more Modern Car launcher. I like the Speedo in the middle... And don't give my **** about Katy Perry. Had my little girls in the car with me, they like Katy and Taylor 😜

iPhone users rejoice
GROM told me latest change to 1.0.2.0 enabled beta CarPlay for Apple iPhone users.
Still no word of when Android Auto is supported.
Latest version as of 2/19/2019

Does anyone in here have this with an iPhone and would be kind enough to show the CarPlay in action? I've been eyeing this unit for a while now and it is good to hear that most of the issues have been ironed out by GROM. So I am almost sold on it at this point.
jdpdata, does this have any built in mirroring option? This unit Lsailt does similar thing as the GROM and have mirroring option. I'd rather deal with GROM since they are based here in the US instead of Lsailt in China.
