Just hope they can do OTA update to Android 10. For some reason going from Android 7 --> 8.1 required an offline SDCard update that costs $16.

Or at least allow you to download the file so you can put it on your own SD card or USB drive to perform an upgrade.

So... i just installed my Vline2....

So far First impression: This this great for those who want android audio/apple carplay. Sound is excellent, installation is super easy. Now i just need to figure out a good place to hide the box.

I think Vline have just fixed my only gripe about my GS

Route the wires to the glove box though the cabin air filter door and mount it in the glove box. That way you can easily get to it in the future.

Like @peasodos said, the glove box is great for it. It's easily accessible but hidden at the same time. I personally never use it for anything other than storing my registration and whatnot, so it's perfect.

Glove box is the best spot. If you're unlucky like me and a few others, you might experience Black Screen of Death (BOSD) once in a blue moon. Only way to get around it is hard reboot by yanking the harness on back of VL2 unit. Do not hide it somewhere you can't get to. You'll also need access to USB ports in case you have to manually restore the OS.

Wow, that's odd. I'm assuming you already updated both the firmware and the software? I've never used Android Auto before, but I know that can't be normal.

Check to make sure all the wire harness are seated tight. That looks like a loose cable somewhere. Or a bad harness.

Yeah i saw the news letter. I cant wait! Also has anyone here retained the oem USB ports to work with Vl2? I spoke to dimitry (Grom Support) sent me an amazon link for a cable to retain the oem usb slots for car play.

I'd like to do that, can you post the link he sent you? Also, I didn't get the newsletter since I only ordered mine 2 days ago. Will our VL2's be upgradable to wireless carplay? Is there a purchase involved if so, or just firmware update?
