My wife's iPhone has been doing this as well. Cord or no-cord. Most of the time it loads after a few minutes, then cuts out 3-4 times, then finally comes back.
Although, 50% of the time it doesn't work at all.

She's one back from the latest iOS 14 build.
I just tested with Wireless AA and it seems to be doing the same thing. Won't connect, probably needs a full reboot every time to make it work.

Let's both report it to GROM. I am seeing the same thing. The more of us that report it, the faster they will fix it.

Sounds good. I just made a ticket.

Edit:
Ugh, they're making me do all the basic steps. Update (already did), factory reset, etc. Be prepared to waste a bunch of time.

I'm seeing same issue in my RLX on WAA. GROM will fix it soon, I hope. Had to switch back to OEM navigation on the way home Saturday night.

What's the consensus here for the early adopters ? Is grom vline 2 the best solution out there for android auto ?

Looking to do something with the infotainment system soon.

Well, I ordered this and now looking into installation. Has anyone installed this in the armrest console ? Seems like the best spot without needed to drill anything. If you install there what did you do about the gps locator?

This is just perfect and exactly what I want to do. Just a few questions before I do the same thing. What did you do about the gps receiver ? Where was that located?

Mount VL2 with some automotive grade Velcro. Easy to remove if I need to access cabin filter.

Zip tied everything down for nice OEM look. Don't know what all these HDMI and VGA ports are for. Maybe future expansion..front cameras? Full Android Auto and Car Play are supported in the future with those USB ports.

Route GPS to passenger pillar. Looks very OEM.

How come your aux port is occupied ? I though the Grom uses the factory mic for the GS 350 ?

Frankly, you can mount it anywhere you see fit, but the center console has good depth to mount this or any similar dimension items down there. Sorry I can't explain this better.

Do you need to drill a hole for the cable to come inside the center console underneath the tray ?

Yes, if you want the cable to come into the tray, you need to a drill a hole. Takes a few seconds, it's only plastic. Any drill will do the job fine.

I'd highly recommend you don't put VL2 unit somewhere you can't get to. You will need access to the unit to pull the harness cable in-case you need to hard reboot. Glove box is the best place and it is what GROM recommends. Just follow my install guide it's pretty detailed.
