I want to paint my calipers but need help deciding on a color. Orange is kinda growing on my but there’s the standard red, color matched blue, or maybe a silver?
my friend pointed out orange is on the opposite of the color wheel of blue and thats why it looks good. neither of us really like orange but it is kinda growing on me. hard to find pictures of any other color combos
For ultrasonic blue cars my personal preferences are dark blue, black, or silver. Dark blue being my most favourite as it matches the exterior of the car. Orange to me would work best on a black, silver, gray, or white car but to me doesn't look great on a blue car.
I like the look of blue as well cause I saw a blue m5 and color matched brakes and they weren’t obnoxiously screaming at you like orange. I’m personally a fan of blue and white/grey combo and since I couldant get grey interior I thought I might to matte silver brakes but I want a good picture of the color combo to see how it looks
you paint them yourself? i might need a guide and paint recommendation
i painted my stock brakes i had myself with G2 caliper paint, limited edition mustang orange, it's good paint so i'd recommend it. the brakes in the pic are powdercoated by rr racing because i recently upgraded to their big brake kit

Did you have any problems with chipping with the G2 paint?
I did my previous car with Duplicolor and that started chipping after about a year and looked horrible. Don't wanna go through the same thing again.

I've used G2 in the past, it dries hard as a rock. It's a two-part paint with a hardener, so the bond is very strong.
For the GS I used a high-temperature metallic copper caliper paint. Then used SprayMax 2k Clear. The Spaymax has is two part so it also is incredibly strong.
What I did on the GS turned out better than the G2, but the G2 is easier to apply. The other way is more of an involved paint job.
