Really? Is your safety really worth a gimmicky fix like that? And the safety of those sharing the road with you? In fact, where did you get an idea like that?

Please replace that tire and get your alignment checked. Don't become a statistic and a news ticker tape at the bottom of the TV screen... please don't.

Props to the discount tire folk, they told me their next big sale will be memorial day so I only have to make them last another couple months. I also inflated it up to 55psi to try and get as much weight on the center tread as possible. I'm actually really surprised how well the cement held on to the tire, I figured it wouldn't work at all. It's really just extra insurance, since the tire was already holding air.

If you can make it last until July 4th the Independence Day Tire Sale is usually the best. I wouldn't be too concerned because you always have the little donut spare tire in case the bad tire on the car blows. I'm told that donut spare tire is rated up to 157 mph for 2 hours.

Mods should lock this thread. Dude is obviously a troll if he is a) fixing that tire with rubber cement and continuing to drive 40 miles a day at freeway speeds and b) placing a directional tire in the wrong orientation and hoping to simply "avoid" rain.

What the actual F.

Maybe he's trying to get his money's worth out of his tires like some people trying to save money by using 87 octane gasoline.
