The GS is an awesome car, but if what you really want is an LS, I would keep searching until you find one of those. They are out there.

Two very different cars - the LS is going to ride much differently (more luxury, more floaty, whisper quiet). The GS is definitely more sporty, smaller, handles better. If an LS is what you really want, you will likely be disappointed with a GS. Keep looking!

These are two totally different cars. You want to check both out to see what you want. One is pure luxury and the other is a sports sedan. In some ways, driving a top of the line, flagship luxury car is cool, and yes, very comfortable. But if you are a driving enthusiast, you may find the LS woefully disappointing.. That's when you want a GS! The ES, on the other hand, is like a baby LS.

I did drive an older LS maybe a 2001 didn’t like it then, has the suspension changed for 2013-2017? Or is the F-Sport more suited for me or the LUX PKG with S+ settings?

im sure there has been improvements. But the car is still what it was designed to be. A big comfy futon floating down the highway. It’s not a bad thing, not at all. Just don’t know if that’s what you want.

I actually found them not being completely different in many ways, found them very similar in some ways and I was looking at both, favoring a LS460 but I just got so tired of looking for a decent one and all the problems the LS's had with the few I looked at. I got a Luxury Package GS which is a bit more luxurious then a standard GS but I found the GS to have a much smoother ride, closer to the LS then I was expecting, very comfortable cruiser, very luxurious, yet it handles well where the LS is a bit floaty and sloppy in the turns. quick changes in direction.

The 2013 GS and LS interior are very similar, very similar design, mostly same materials used in most places, mostly same luxury features. Few differences I noticed were a little extra padding in some areas, seat program buttons are a little nicer on the LS, newer seat heatercooler controls are metal in 2013 LS and uses AC air though I couldn't tell the difference between the two, LS definitively has more rear leg room especially with the long wheelbase. GS Luxury has more adjustments in the seats then a LS, semi aniline leather is nicer then standard LS leather, has some features you don't get with a standard LS like rear seat controls, etc.

The GS350 is a little quicker then the LS460, the 2016 GS350+ may be very close or the same as the 2016+ GS models are not as quick as the 2013-2105 models. The LS's 8 cylinder is smoother, more effortless torque, and quieter, I still wish my GS had the LS V8 but the GS350 is still a little quicker if that is something important. Handling/nimbleness is really the only night and day difference I noticed between the two.

That is one test, on avg if you go by all the tests done the GS350 is quicker then the LS460. GS350 has also done it in 5.4 sec. LS460 has also done it in 6-6.2 sec in a couple tests, avg is more around 6 sec, avg for 2013-2015 GS350 is around 5.5 sec.

Are you saying BMW is more reliable?

I have had multiple BMWs prior to my 15 GS350 and I never had any issues with them PRIOR to 50K miles... Long term is another matter. Assuming a person drives the car about 12K miles per year, BMW's should be reliable for the first 4 years or during the warranty years. Maintenance is really about the same. The F Sports models cost much to maintain when you consider the cost to replace the tires and brakes. But if we are only looking into long term reliability, Lexus wins. I do feel, the GS350 is a little sluggish from 0-60. An extra 10% HP/Torque would be the sweet spot. Perhaps, this could be the reason why it has not sold well these past few years. Not to mention, the car is pretty much the same as the 13 models. .... More of a reason why a certified 3 year old makes all the sense in the world. HIgh $20's with a 3-year unlimited miles warranty and 2 years worth of services.

Nah...I think he was trying to state that the GS is a "more reliable BMW" as it exhibits the driving experience lauded by BMW's drivers but actually has the reliability of a Lexus...
