Upgrading seats to semi aniline Luxury Mod

How the heck do you change this air filter, without unbolting the seat?
I don't really see the point of filtering the air under the seat that hits your butt unless it's more for reducing the fan noise.
If anything the fan in our seat is less restrictive and should, in theory, move more air.

Whatever model Lexus the filter is for there must be a mention of it in the service book to replace the filter, otherwise the filter would just get clogged-up and the seat ventilation system would become useless.

Very interesting! I had no idea there was a filter for the ventilation fans under the seats. If the filter is not for the 4GS, then what model is the filter for?

I got a 2013 w/luxury pkg about four months ago. When I first test drove it I noticed a smell I associated with the leather. I wouldn't call it pleasant and it was different from other smells I'd associate with leather but I didn't find it distasteful or anything. Well my brother who has been in the car has commented on it and doesn't really like it and another family member commented on it and not in a flattereing way. It never really bothered me before but now I'm second guessing. What do you all think of the smell? Is it a "normal" leather upholstery smell or different?

If you use Lexol Conditioner annually, that lovely smell remains. And the leather maintains its delicious softness.

The seats I purchased are from an AWD GS and I have RWD.
The front seat mounting point closest to the transmission angles inward, because of the AWD hump, but the RWD has a straight mounting point.
The only solution is to swap the lower part of the frame. Here are pics of it removed.
I don't plan on swapping the seat till April, but I took apart the frame to see if the swap was possible, it is.
If only the mounting bracket was bolted on not pressed in, this would have been a lot easier.

@peasodos I have a challenge for you since you’ve done a number of up-fits and adds......will the Fsport instrument cluster work in my non-Fsport? I prefer the LCD over the needle gauges. I haven’t been able to definitively conclude if they’re interchangeable.

My thoughts too but I've not been able to find a pic of the F-sport cluster's back. If you come across one, post it.
