Remote Start ... 2019 GS350 F Sport
I've seen a few threads about the remote start system but I'm wondering, is there a way to bypass it so the car STAYS ON from the app? Is there another way to do it?
I asked the dealer if they could change it and they said they can't, it's a safety issue but my wife's Honda has remote start and stays on after she's entered the vehicle. I find it a little strange that the car shuts off as soon as you reach for the door handle

Unfortunately no, there is no way around it.

It's the DUMBEST thing that the car stops. We have an '08 Toyota Highlander with a factory starter that you use your factory key fob to start by hitting the "Lock" button 3 times, holding down the third time until it starts. It's great to warm up the car on those icy days, but every single time you have to use your battery and starter a second time to restart the car. It's just dumb. Safety schmafety. FU Toyota. Your customers have spoken thousands and thousands of times and yet you still do it your way.

Tell me about it! My GS is the first vehicle I've owned that doesn't automatically lock the doors when driving away...some bizarre decisions have been made in Japan in the last few years!

You're in luck!
That is actually a customization you can control from the remote touch on your screen while parked. Go to the settings menu and poke around, you'll eventually find it. You can control when the doors lock and unlock among a dozen or so other settings for lights, climate, etc. Have fun! 😊

I've looked through the menus and been through everything in Techstream as well, I don't think it's an option here.
Knowing it's at least in both of yours, I'll need to look again and possibly accept it's a regional thing. (much like how I can open and close all Windows remotely) It could just be a software bug, an update may fix it because all the options controlling automatically unlocking the car are still there.

Meanwhile, for you and anyone else who might not have their original owner's manual (which, by the way anyone with a VIN# can sign up on drivers.lexus.com to create their own profile and download manuals in PDF format) here are screen shots from the manual for the 2015 GS in case this helps to find the customization settings:

I won't lie, the HUD is a ripper. Thanks so much for going to the effort of posting those pics, my answer has been found. It's plain been left out! I know it's not against national rule because my last 2 cars were Australian made and locked..ah well!

Wait a minute...
I'm curious what's on the pages before and after this one. This only talks about UNlock customizations. Is there nothing about locking on either of those other pages?
My parents had Ford wagons that had locks that could be customized from lock upon shifitng to D or from driving away back in the 90s!
