Yeah, I have to turn mine off in the snow. Same goes for the radar sensor behind the front emblem for PCS and radar cruise. I get the warning on my Tacoma every time we go up to the mountains. I didn't think it'd happen as much as that emblem sensor is so much higher off the ground.

I actually had sort of the opposite problem with the radar cruise control about a week ago. It was raining pretty good and there was a lot of road spray. Another car changed lanes in front of me and the spray was really bad from him changing lanes. As the other car got fully in my lane in front of me and the cruise never slowed down, never showed that it detected the other car. I had to manually hit the brake because it seemed like the GS was going to keep going. I wouldn't say it was a super close call, definitely less than a car length, maybe even as close at 8-10 feet. It certainly wasn't the norm - my mind definitely went to "the GS is not going to slow down and I'm going to hit." I've had plenty of times where folks have changed lanes in front of me and it's been fine, it's been fine since then as well.

The road was really open - why they moved into my lane I have no idea.

The parking assist feature seems to freak out regularly when I don't think it should and it doesn't seem to pick up other things as quickly as I think it should. Drive thrus are the worst example of it.

You got it! I was just driving from the car wash to a work site and trying to find places where the backdrop was nice and the light was at the right angle. I definitely got a few weird looks.

Brothers and sisters of the Atomic Silver Persuasion I am in need of your help. I finally picked up a Lexon rear diffuser but I'm at a loss as to what color I should have it painted. Suggestions? I'm getting this done tomorrow so I welcome any opinions. I have Ark Performance 3in carbon fiber quad tips.

Personally I would likely keep it dark gray/black. Body color is going to start to change how the back of the car reads both from the back and from the sides. The dark color sort of makes the diffuser become more part of the shadow under the car and visually disappear to an extent. I wouldn't do it another (third) color simply because that's going to emphasize the diffuser and do you really want folks focusing on that part of the car because it stands out?

+1 on the dark color. I personally would go black just like how it is with the OE fsport diffuser.
Post pics when you get it on

First long drive in what is my third and final GS350 last night from Santa Barbara to Palm Springs. Such a sublime drive across southern Cal.

After swapping this week from the standard 18” rims to the 19” ten spokes, and going with Continental Extreme Contact DSW 06s, the car looks and drives like perfection. Huge improvement over the Dunlop Maxx Sports that came on it as new.

These same tires were on my 911 until recently. And while they were a bit tame for the Porsche they feel like the perfect “ultra performance all season” fit for my more-than-just-cruising style of driving.
