3 year alumni of the the GS350 thread with a 2020 Mica Gray until recent switch to this Atomic Silver 2019. This color was not available to me with the GS but was top of the list. This time I got it. “Liquid Metal”!

I love Atomic Silver and I'm glad it worked out that I was able to get it. The way it changes color in different light is amazing. And it's different enough from other silvers that I didn't feel like I was sticking with just another silver car.

Atomic Silver GS owners, please share pics of your 2013-2019 GS in this thread.
I've always loved visiting forums and seeing photo threads by each individual color. I was surprised we didn't have something like that here so hopefully we can get other Atomic Silver owners to share pics of their cars in here so we can get a thread full of Atomic Silver GS' going & hopefully other color owners can start similarly-purposed threads for their colors.
Hopefully prospective buyers can use these threads for help if they can't decide on a color (tough call, many good choices).
Interested in other colors?

@Nalod So you went from a GS to an LS? I know a number of folks have chatted about that as a possible path since the GS is discontinued. What's your take on it? The LS is a nice looking car but it just seems like A LOT more car to contend with vs the GS.

16k cost for me to upgrade. Not everyone has a paid up 3 year old GS for equity. That big discount, and covid factor of only driving 25k in three years and supply chain issues making used cars premium priced. All this came together factoring large in my quest. Luxury flagships depreciate really badly and pandemic factor did not help that segment as it did many models of cars/SUV’s.
The LS500 is big. Turning radius is not great and its not nimble as the GS is. Road feel is less but thats to be expected. First and foremost the GS is a wonderful car. As a gran tourer it checked so many boxes of comfort, performance and satisfaction. Fact is I was seduced by the LS500 leather, double pane widow quietness, Apple car play, a rather surprisingly decent shiatsu massage seat (car rubs your butt rather nice) and the 23 speaker, 2400 watt ML audio is magnificent! That the car is bigger than LS460 but back seat is not matters little to me. Im not a large person and large cars are not necessary. The comfort is really quite good as a luxury car should. Is it better than the Germans? Perhaps not. but reliability matters. . Is it fast? Spec says 4.6 0-60. Don’t feel it as its super quiet. Thats good and bad? Sport mode pumps in engine feed back audio. Its silly, but cool. The padded and stitched everywhere is silly, and cool too. There is some lag off the line but Sport mode eliminates much of that. This thing has 10 speed Trans. In Sport plus it hunts gears but I have not gotten used to how to smooth it out. That is part car and part driver. The 411 HP and 440 LBs of torque are significant. MPG? 17 around town, 26-27 highway. Hit it hard its 15 around town. Luxury cars are inefficient and non essential. Its not practical, its fun.
For me and my circumstances made the upgrade were not to financially painful. The bumper to bumper warranty runs out very soon but drive train is 7 yrs 70k miles. I relying on the Lexus reliable goodness to continue.
Not sure LS the natural successor to the GS if one is an “F-Sport” kind of person. I did not seek out the LS500 in Fsport trim for many reasons including pricing, availability and color choices. Some of the suspension bits might matter but drivetrain is the same. The cosmetic bits are subjective to personal tastes.
There is the runflat tire thing too. Car has new tires and I’ll deal with that in the future. Perhaps non runflats will improve but im happy for now. I know we suppose to advocate for our choices but really I quite enjoyed my GS. It really grew on me over the three years had the used price not been so high I doubt I’d made any change.
That this car has just 27, 500 miles when I got it mattered. I saw some GS-F across the country and for this money the miles on it were much higher. I did not cross shop any variant of ES as new viable trim would be in the mid 50’s range. ES used are also priced high for now. Ev is not practical for me now and choices in the price range were attractive for now.

I miss @signdetres and I still think of him every time I'm in a parking garage
Here's one to bump the thread.... Maybe some other folks will add on...

It's been a while but I'm with you @MuaGS350 - but what can you say when you have the best color of them all. I mean Liquid Platinum doesn't even come close And I love seeing those red Fs on your car.

@PGA71 Such a great looking car. I have a feeling that may be the route I'm headed when it comes time to replace the GS. It just seems like SOOOO much car. Luckily I keep things for a while so by the time I replace mine who knows what will be out there - maybe by that time Lexus will have realized the error of their ways and brought back the GS
