Dynamic Handling System reliability
I'm looking at a '14 F-Sport (45k miles), and it has the Dynamic Handling System package. This isn't something that I necessarily want, but I'm also not really opposed to it. I certainly felt the ridiculously quick turn-in on a test drive. Is it always active, or only in S+? It does make me wonder about future repair or issues though. It's more to break or wear out. The rack itself is $5,800...
So, have there been any issues with the system?

most common in f-sport in pre-refresh models. anything 16+ its only on hybrid standard or custom order. If you end up getting one in charlotte I wanna see how it drives since i ordered mine with it and have never driven back to back to compare haha

It's always active, just more active & quicker to react in Sport S+ mode. We have a 2015 with it and ~65,000 miles. No issues ever with it.

Thanks for the info. I figured it would be reliable, but just wanted to check. I imagine that once bushings/ball joints start to wear out, it might be annoying. That's likely not an issue until 100k+ miles though.
I'm in Raleigh, but I'd go to Charlotte for a good car. I think there's a black '14 F-Sport available there, but I'm looking for white/silver/gray. From my brief drive in a few different GS350s, the rear steering makes it feel a bit like my G35S does when I tighten the line with the throttle... just not as hard on the tires. Ha.

I have that as well, but I do feel it is too eager to turn at moderate speeds (~40mph) and there is a delay in it reacting (half a second or more), feels artificial.
I would not worry much about reliability.

If the RWS fails just disconnect it. It's basically just a stepper motor. Have a mechanic align it perfectly and it'll drive like it never had rear wheel steering. I really like it but I wouldn't pay 10K to fix it.
I've not heard of reliability issues, remember it's only engaged during s+ so it's not often in use.

I always read that as only engaging with S+ but now that I look at it again, it does state 'angle enhanced' implying you are indeed correct. It must be a 2 mode system that only uses it's full range with S+
