Checked out the 2016. It was nice for sure. Tried to get the price down a touch but they weren't budging. Then the salesman got on my nerves and I left. I went to the nearby Lexus dealer to check out a 2019 GS. Hmmmm. For a 3 yr lease, $4,500 lease cash, plus was able to get to 8% off MSRP. He wouldn't move off that anymore. The residual was surprising...~50%. Wondering what others have been able to achieve on a 2019 GS?
Thanks JDR76. Leaning that way. If you don't mind sharing, did you purchase or lease, and what kind of deal were you able to get?
If you can get a good deal, then that's still a good way to go.
I leased my 15 but bought my 19. I was able to get a reasonable, though not great, discount off the 19. All of the Lexus rebates were on leases only so I did not qualify for those.

Could be why the GS is still on the lot at the Acura dealership if they get on people's nerves lol
Nonetheless, its still a really low price for a 2016 F-Sport with that low mileage...would the Lexus dealership's lease parameters change if it was for an F-Sport or non F-Sport?

Thanks. Right now I got him to 8% off MSRP and $4,500 lease cash. Can also do MSDs, which would drive the money rate to 1%. Seems pretty good to me, and a push to purchasing at 1.9% for 60 months. Wondering if gets even better come June. Thoughts? BTW...is there another good lease calculator out there? Been using leasehackr. Put same inputs and I come up with a monthly that is $70 under what dealer shows me.
Is the lease calculator you are using include sales tax? Not sure how it is in California, but in Washington we pay sales tax on each lease payment, so if my lease payment was, for example, $550, my total payment including tax will be around $610.

Yes, using sales tax included in monthly payment. Is ~50% residual now the norm? When I got my '16 IS 350, it was closer to 60%.
Reviews of Audi & BMW being better is pure propaganda! These brands don't hold a candle to Lexus in reliability!
Another word for failed reliability is engineered maintenance plan to keep the $ervice cash flowing to Audi & BMW franchises. It's going to cost you to keep the moneypit car on the road. It is quite possible to engineer a car to minimize maintenance needs but dealers will not be happy to sell it with a decreasing service revenue stream. A good example of an overly engineered car is LS430.
This was 6 months ago on my new 2018 lease, that I plan to purchase at lease end. On a 19, you may be realistically looking at $2000-3000 more overall, less lease cask and lower dealer discount. So maybe $20-30 more monthly?
Right now the deal is ~51% residual, 8% off MSRP + 4500 lease cash. I can put down MSDs to get lease rate to 1%. Seems reasonable. 2 questions...1) will deal likely improve substantially with the June summer sales event (i..e, I wait until then), and 2) if Lexus does decide to discontinue the GS, when would that likely be known and would any new GS's on dealer lots then likely be heavily discounted?

Just as you mentioned, the lease deals are always better in the fall particularly starting from late Sept - Dec. since the 2020 model will be on the lots by the end of the year. Curious fact, we knew they refreshed the 2016 GS but it wasn't available until late in Dec 2015 (usually next year's car is available in Oct/Nov of the current year).
No one has heard anything concrete to confirm or deny a 2020 GS. All of us are still in the dark and Lexus/Toyota has kept things very ambiguous. Note: Not a single change was made to the GS between 2018 and 2019. All options/equipment remained exactly the same.
If you need a car now and you're getting a good lease deal, i'd say go for it. If you're not in a rush, the lease deals will inevitable get better as dealers look to move 2019 models the closer we get to 2020...
