Hello I’m am new to the GS looking to do some upgrades I know what I want just don’t know what brands are best to use any help or advice would be great

My plans are pretty simple I want to put 20" wheels and lower just enough to give it a better look maybe tuck the wheel some without rubbing or having to cut anything
Want to do strut/sway bars not sure which brands work best
Exhaust I know which one I want which is the invidia q300 with mid pipe back
I want to do a cold air intake don’t know which one
I want a programmer one that will improve throttle response
really just want to do bolt on upgrade as far a performance without throwing any check engine light

please any advice or links would be greatly appreciated thanks

hi first congrats on the car

best advice is stick with oem rims and add toms exterior items or steering wheel for upgrades

you will change the ride characteristics of the car dramatically with a wheel change to that level

good luck

Start here for ideas on wheels/sizes/offsets/tires: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...el-thread.html

IMHO I think 20's a little big for the GS but it all depends on your personal tastes and what your tolerances are for changing the way the car rides/handles. A drop/lowering the car using RSR Downs, Tanabe/Swift springs are also a popular modification esp if going with a 20" wheel.

JoeZ / Invidia / Tanable / Borla are the most popular exhaust systems on the 4GS forum from what i've seen. JoeZ / Takeda/AFE, HPS intakes are popular on the 4GS.

Other members have already chimed in on recent thread stating that most of the performance mods are useless without a real tune or a supercharger: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ance-mods.html

Good luck and congrats!
