So the difference between a 2015 and 2016 is just the programming on the electronic steering? Is there any press release out there to somehow explain the change that has been done? Most german cars still achieve that heavy feel on the steering with electronic steering.

It probably needs shims. I bought my 15 f sport used and I also felt the brake paddle stroke was short, hard and squealed in the morning. I checked the front brakes and it didn’t have shims. So I went to the dealer, bought a set of OEM shims and slip them in. Once I put them in, paddles felt way better and no squealing whatsoever.
