Definitely don't play polo, barely made 30 yrs old here cmon now lol. Barely have any time these days working 6-7days a week to even take out the Lambo. But my problem was a totally unique one where a wire was pulled out of the fusebox with an aftermarket mod I had from someone checking the OBDII port by accident causing for the whole system to shut down and not respond after initial startup sequence. But in reference to Malisa817 I did extensive research and it seems it could possibly be the fuel pressure sensor on the fuel rail at the top back of the engine. It's not too hard to get back there just maybe have to take off the intake plenum to get better access. I replaced this before finding out about the simple wire fix for my specific problem. Wasted a ton of time drilling a stuck screw holding the intake plenum down lol.

According to OP it was a wiring issue related to an aftermarket mod that caused the problem:
"my problem was a totally unique one where a wire was pulled out of the fusebox with an aftermarket mod I had from someone checking the OBDII port by accident causing for the whole system to shut down and not respond after initial startup sequence."

Hi all.
One basic test that shall always be done is to check the grounding of the engine. Use a spare jumper cable and connect the battery negative to the engine.
This replaces the original engine ground wire(s) which might be corroded or bad in some way.
Happended to my fathers Toyota Auris, and it was found to be a production error of having a painted contact point on the chassi for the original wire.

It was the fuel pressure sensor. I ordered the part thru ebay for about 17.00.

Also when in the On Ignition position I hear the Engine Fans are operating but engine temps are cool.

Check engine light just popped up and took car to get code read. But then all of a sudden the battery died and even with fresh battery car will attempt to turn over but not start.

OBD II readers will not connect to the car and I tried two different ones. I have a generic Mini-VCI reader but I need to find it and see if I can redownload the "iffy" TIS software.

Any ideas on what it could be? Have many many model of Lexus but this is a first time something has happened where I cannot read the OBDII codes and find a suggestion to a fix.
Hello I have the same car and happen to me the same on my 2013 lexus gs350 f sport. Please help if you find out what was the problem

Possibly check the fuel pressure sensor, clean your MAF. Those were two other possibilities mentioned in the thread. It could also be fuse related (in my experience).

I cleaned the MAF sensor I will check the fuel pressure sensor and the fuses and I posted here if any success.
But it is poorly design the fuel pressure sensor if go bad the start will not start. should be starting with bad performance or codes.

I don't particularly think you have a bad FPS, but it's not impossible and it's not common. It sounds like a fuse/connection to me, and in worst case, a fuel pump.

I checked all fuses and most cables but no luck, If it is the pump why showing is Engine low oil pressure and the fan
