Rear Bumper fitment after car accident off (please advise)
Hello Everyone,
On may 16th I was involved in a accident in which I got rear ended at a red light. I have a OEM parts replacement coverage on my insurance so I had everything replaced with factory parts but for some reason the body shop cant get the rear bumper to align correctly... I have seen other GS350's and some of them have the same gap and some don't. Can anyone tell me if the pictures below look correct? The right side fits a lot better than the left.

Did the shop say how they reduced the gap? I've had my bumper replaced twice from people backing into me in parking lots. Both of my replacements were Lexus parts and both had that fitment problem. I've taken my bumper off several times and tried to trim it with a dremel to improve the fitment with no luck. I talked to one body shop that suggested 3M double sided tape to tighten the gap but I haven't tried it yet. I think the problem is if the bumper gets bent to much during the install, this will happen and there is no point of attachment near this edge to bring it in and close the gap.

They had to take the whole bumper off, align the gap'd corners first than bolt it up / clip them in..

This happens to be the preferred shop by my insurance company.
