I've been very happy with Powerstop pads, personally prefer them over Akebonos which used to be the only pad I used. Now everything we have has either OEM pads or powerstops. Admittedly, the powerstops dust slightly more than the Akebonos, but they seem to have better initial bite to them.

Update:

So I installed Akebono ceramic pads and could not be happier.
After a few weeks it appears there is significantly less brake dust, no noise and do not notice any degradation in stopping performance from the OEM pads.
They were about $50 per pair.
I changed the fronts and backs.

I'll report back if there is any change in performance.

I have been using Autozone's Duralast Max Brake Pads as of recent. Does anybody else use these?

I recently swapped out the OEM pads for Akebonos ceramic.

Initial brake bite difference is night and day (OEM performs better) along with dusting difference is night and day (akebono dust substantially less).

I'm probably going to switch back to the semi-metallic factory pads after these akebono ceramics pads are done because the trade for less dust for less performance isn't worth it for me.

Do the ceramic pads last significantly longer? I just went through new pads in 20k miles. Now, they were replaced upon trade in, but the lexus dealership shipped car off to it's sister dealership who actually did the replacement. Is it safe to assume they still used OEM pads?

I'm not surprised I went through the pads so fast, but if ceramic helps a great deal, I'm willing to go for it. Thinking of the akebonos sport ultra performance, hoping those get a bit closer to oem performance. Of course, I have no idea if I have OEM now.

Red face Finally I have found the ones! Brake Pads for 2016 Lexus GS 350 F-Sport

I have had my 2016 Lexus GS 350 F-Sport car since it had about 69 miles on it (year 2016). Fresh off the lot, I have had issues with the squealing noise on my brakes (all original dealership parts) since day 1. During that time, my car had warranty and Lexus told me that they would change my brakes. So they did and I still was experiencing the same issue. I took it in for a second time, this time they put new rotors. STILL! same squealing. My brother was the one to buy different pads that ended up working well. Sadly, I do not have that brake information but let me tell you. Recently, as of 5/03/2024, I needed new front rotors and brakes. I had my front rotors replaced with Duralast Disc Brake Rotor 31602 AND BRAKES (which I did my research on and my racing friend recommended) PowerStop Performance Brake Pads Z26-1586 (FRONT). FINALLY, I HAVE FOUND THE ONES! A perfect combo. No squealing, not even in the lightest braking.

Front Rotors (AutoZone) ($111.99) : Duralast Disc Brake Rotor 31602
Front Brake Pads (AutoZone) ($51.49) : PowerStop Performance Brake Pads Z26-1586

Default Power Stop Extreme

Power Stop Extreme are carbon fiber break pads I had them on my dodge scat pack they where perfect so when I got my 2017 gs350 fsport changed the pads 4 times within 5k miles because of squealing decided to try power stop instead of the ceramic and no more squealing and better stopping power those ceramic pads are not good plus power stop creates very little break dust

There are 1000 GS Brake threads here. Putting a cheap pad on to fix not cleaning and lubing a proper brake job is not how you reslove the problem. Power Stop has been and still is cheap brake parts crap.

Plus 2 brand new users talking up the same brand and resurrecting a 5 year old thread screams cheap spam, lol. That's all I need to hear/see

Idk about what that is all about but the PowerStop Evolution pads are doing my AWD lux just fine. I don't think they are cheap in quality, and they had all the important clips/brackets included so that was nice, not always a thing. Price was bundled with the centric/PowerStop geomet coated rotors which have been very good thus far.

Edit... I don't think I'd trust duralast here. The lowest I would probably go would be NAPA, but the PowerStop kit was cheaper sooo...

Go to your Lexus dealer. They have the best pads for your car, IMO.
