Are the air conditioned seats in your GS still cooling down adequately?? I feel like mine are “clogged” or something LOL.

kinda feels ok on the butt area, but then. Ack of the seat has zero cooling feeling to it. Is there any kind of maintenance on this feature? Anyone feeling the same way?

It's not cooled seats, only ventilated. If the air under and around the seats is warm, it will simply blow that warm air to your back and butt.

OP - You've driven your car 135,000 miles and live in Florida and you actually thought your seats were air conditioned instead of just ventilated with hot and humid cabin temperature air until the cabin cools down?

It's barely noticeable in mine.

My old Lincoln MKZ would freeze your sack off. It was great. I loved my passenger's reactions when they felt it for the first time. Was pretty bummed at how weak the cooling in the GS is.

You can't assume he drove all of the 135k miles and if he is the first and only owner. Regardless of that information I have seen more than a few people confuse cooled seats with ventilated seats. A big part of it is how it's marketed to the general public.

OP - for best results I suggest turning the AC on max and recirculating the air and making sure it also blows at your feet. This will help redirect that cooler air through the seat. But sometimes in that nasty FL heat and humid it's just an uphill battle.

I think you're all looking at the seats in the wrong light. The ventilation function isn't to keep you cool, it's to keep your skin and clothing dry. Without the ventilation we'd sweat more on the leather.

A couple of months ago I went to Home Depot and bought a carpet welcome mat, cut it up a few times, and rolled it up under the drivers seat from the back seat. The idea was to catch the cold air and help send it up to the cooling fan into the seat. This works very sporadically. When I set the cooling to bi-level, turn the temperature way down, and set up the fan, sometimes I can really feel the cool. But I think somehow the outside temperature plays into this. I think the Lexus is so smart that it doesn't want to over-cool me or something when the temperature isn't that high. Am I giving my car more credit to know when to run the seat fan and when not to? I have owned my car for two years now and still haven't figured out this mystery.

I'm referring to a human body sweating when sitting in the one leather seat for over an hour. I find the air blowing through the seat keeps the occupant dry. I get that this doesn't happen to everyone but I find it to be an excellent feature.

Mine feels cool, but only for a short while then it does not feel cool anymore.

Through it could just be my body adjusting to the temperature. My previous car did not have cooled seats so I cannot compare it.

I have 66k miles on mine.

The seats are ventilated, but yeah they don't cool much. At least you can kinda lift your back off an inch off the seat and you can feel the air coming through. I guess it does help because without it you do get more sweaty. Better then nothing.

I actually really like the ventilated seats and think they work well. I use them pretty often.

The duct work for rear seat vents run through the center console. Some ingenious guy (with an overly sweaty pair of butt cheeks) might could install a manually adjustable damper door in the center console's duct work to redirect the cold air away from going into the rear vents and instead direct this cold [air conditioned] air underneath the driver's seat (the hell with the passenger's seat) where the fans draw its air to force through the seat's perforations. Voila - a cooled driver's seat!
