I didn't mean "you" specifically. I meant, one would still have to run a wire thru the firewall to connect 5D to 2A. Yeah I have my fogs connected directly to the switch/stalk. I might try out your method to see if I can get the fog indicator to light up in the dash. Shouldn't be too difficult since I already have most of the wiring in place and already have a wire going thru the firewall.

Tremendous work and write up.
Awesome!
Ever since I saw TDemands GS with fog lights I knew right away it's on the to do list!

@baconRx Great write-up! Thank you so much for taking the time to do it for us! You mentioned that you bought the OEM switch. Do you have a part number? Is it the OEM stalk you can turn the fogs on and off within the stalk itself or they go on whenever the low beams are on?
Part# 84140-30360 - Headlamp Switch (what it looks like)
Part# 85315-30460 - windshield was reservoir
first item i listed. its an on off switch like where the auto sensing wiper speed selector is located but on the left stalk. they will only turn on when low beams are on. when just drl or high beams are on they turn off automatically and they turn of when car is off

Question about the wiring harness kit?
Hi y'all, I know that the red circle that u cut was the relay and keep the positive and negative wire. Do u keep the fuse socket on the wiring harness or remove it? And the fog lights ground wire, can I just ground any on the classy or run the wire to the N28 pin10 and pin 19? By the way, thank you for the DIY. I'm in the process install whenever my parts are coming.

cut the fuse off as well. If you install exactly as I did you will be using fuses integrated in that fuse box with the relay.the ground from the fogs will be grounded to any metal you have. I used one right under the headlights that the headlights are grounded to. Good to know someone is at least using my guide for 16+ models

hopefully you got all the right wires from the Ebay guy. Hardest part was getting the wire from firewall up to the relay box. That stock bundle of wires is tight

I fixed the problems that I had. Turn out I didn't push the pin27 in all the way on N12 connector. Thank you baconRX again. Proof that 16+ f-sport with foglights works. This is what I order the pins with eBay guy." 1 of 82998-12340, 2 of 82998-12870 and 1 of 2’ feet long each end with 82998-12870" end up I had to cut 2' of one end to put in pin10 on N28 for ground with pin19. 82998-12870 pin won't go in pin27 on N12 so I have to push the wire thru the pin hole in pin27 like this DIY write up.

I don't even care about the dash light anymore. I'm 7 hours into this install and just want the lights to turn on with the parking lights or DRLs. I just ran the trigger wire through the firewall, but I'm not sure which wire to tap. I've searched so many threads, but 16+ is different in many ways. I don't want a switch - I just want to tap into the right wire and get power.
Can anyone help? Please?

Never mind. I got it. It's referenced in another thread. Green wire, kick panel, absolute PITA to tap. It was 35 minutes just to get my body to bend that way and get a pliers in there. Now that we're tapped up, I cleaned up and wrapped the wire loom so it looks essentially OEM at first glance. Tested and done. Ugh... is it too early for whisky?
