I have a 4GS with P7's that are about 2 years old, but not high mileage as you requested.
The P7's are a soft compound, soft sidewall, smooth and quiet riding tire - at least till midlife anyway.
The P7's don't have quite the sharp turn-in nor terminal grip of the firmer riding OEM Dunlop SP Sport 050's.
I also have an old 3GS which my staff drive.
I have tried both Michelin Primacy 3 and Pirelli Cinturato P7's, and I found the Michelin Primacy 3 [touring] tires to have a hard compound with soft riding sidewalls, such that the Michelin Primacy had a bumpier and noisier ride than the Pirelli P7's.
In the old 3GS, the P7's are once again a soft compound soft sidewalled tire with a smooth and quiet ride.
In the 3GS, the OEM Dunlop SP Sport 2050 sports tires, like the 4GS's OEM SP Sport 050's, both have a soft compound for a quiet ride [until they're very old], but both also seem to have a rigid sidewall to maximize turn-in and grip.

So now I have a bit of a dilemma and I am now trying to decide between four tires. Continental Pure Contact LS , Michellin Primacy MXM4 (this and the continental are similarly priced), Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season plus( are about $200 cheaper than the Continental and Michellin) and Yokohama Avid Ascend GT (the Yokohama's are the cheapest $300 less than the Michelins or Continental).
I am not worried about the price I just want a good tire to keep for many years that is quite, has good steering response around corners and is all around a great tire. I am leaning towards the Continentals or the Pirellis to be honest, from what I've read and heard from others the Michelin's just don't seem to be worth the price.
If you were me which one would you go for?

I would probably go with the Continentals. I am happy with the Michelins on mine, but wouldn't pay extra over the Continentals.
Edit: Not paying enough attention to my typing. I meant the Centuratos, not the Continentals.

I was so happy with Cinturato P7's for my 4GS, I used Cinturato P7's for my 3GS too.
I did try Michelin Primacy 3 on 3GS, but found out they were hard compound soft sidewalled tires; however I prefer the Cinturato P7's soft compound and soft sidewalls for the ultimate in comfort & quietness; it handles quite well and has at least reasonably good mileage.
Many years ago, I had Bridegestone Potenza RE88 [Potenzas are sports tires] OEM's on my old ES300, and although they were comfortable, quiet, and good handling, the mileage was less than 20,000 - now that's poor mileage.
Primacies are Michelin's touring [sporting-luxury] tires.
Pilots are the sport tires.
I don't know if the MXVM's are touring tires, but it would be good if you can test drive two tires back to back on the same car, and define if the compound is soft/hard, and if the sidewall constructions is soft/rigid; this was what I was able to do many years ago.

I understand your difficult dilemma. I was you not too long ago, I was confused on which tire to get. When you shopping for tires you are gonna expect positive and negative reviews on all tires but you have to select with the best ratings and what is best for you. I had OEM Michelin Primacy MXM4 on my GS 350 F Sport. I recently switched to Yokohama Avid Ascend GT because the ratings was astonishing and the treadwear is long lasting it was rated #1 in treadwear in the grand touring class. I have it on my car now and it is amazing. Smooth ride no complaints. Waiting to see how it does in the winter since I see it has excellent winter performance reviews.

Thank you to everyone that helped me towards deciding a tire. I have decided to go with the Continental's even though I was leaning towards the Pirelli's. I've heard amazing things about the Continentals lets hope that it lives up to its expectations. I get my new tires tomorrow and can't wait to test them out.
Will keep everyone posted!

UPDATE
So the Continentals are truly phenomenal. I have driven on them for about 100kms (62miles) so far so its a bit early to judge them but I must say its everything I wanted. The car drives much nicer and quieter. The tires have great wet traction and are quiet and responsive on dry pavement. When driving fast around sharp corners these tires have no issues whatsoever they grip the road well and feel extremely smooth. The car goes where you point it and there is absolutely no wandering at all. Very predictable with handling with a lot of confidence in the car's directional stability(lives up to these tire rack reviews).
Honestly if these tires perform like they do right now until 40,000-50,000 miles I will 100% repurchase them again when this set is done. Can't say enough about these tires they truly did make a huge difference from the P.O.S Bridgestone Turanza El-400's I had on before which were noisy as hell(sounded like a plane on uneven road surfaces), wore out pretty quickly, but handled decently. If I had to rate these tires I'd honestly give them a 10/10. But as I mentioned before its still too early to judge but I hope this helps others when deciding which tire to buy.
Thanks again to everyone that contributed and helped me out. It was a tough decision but I'm sure I made the right decision.

I know this topic has a been discussed a lot but I am new here.
Just bought a CPO 2019 GS 350 F sport RWD.
The stock Bridgestone Potenzas are terrible. Loud and Bumpy on highway.
Which tires would you recommend for comfortable quiet highway commutes? I'm in North Texas so snow is rare but cold weather does happen. Price is not a concern. Mileage is not a concern.
I guess currently I am looking at:
1) Pirelli P7's
2) Michelin Primacy MXM4
3) Yokohama Avid Ascend GT
4) Conti Pure contact LS
5) Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ (I have had great results with these on another car, but sizes don't quite match the GS)
Thanks!

I was looking into getting a set of these as well but they only seem to go up to 255 width (not 275 like the non-plus P7's). Would putting 255's on the rear have any noticeable increase in tire noise?
