Default Lexus Credit Card Key for 2013 GSh

Inspired by this Russian guy who successfully used this credit card key:
https://www.drive2.ru/l/455555431129940886/

Update: HYQ14CBA
89904-30L50 is the only Key that works on the 4GS all my other attempts failed.

He used part number 89904-50480. I checked eBay and found out that key has FCC ID: HYQ14ABB

I bought a used Lexus credit card key on eBay with FCC ID: HYQ14ABB for $50. It's a great deal considering they usually go for $150. I found an unlock service on eBay that will reset the key to virgin status for $15.

Nice!!!! Subbed. Can you use regular techstream to add it or do you need the security professional edition?

Just the regular one. I have already added a normal key with the version I have now, it's really easy. I think I paid $15 for the cable/disk on eBay a couple years ago.

The dealership probably charges $50 to program but it literally one take one minute to add a key.

Mine is 89904-30L50. Never been able to confirm what years this would work on but I would think far least 16-19. FCC id: HYQ14CBA

From what I've read online these FCC ID's have a very wide range of what cars they work with. I see in the Prius forum people successfully programming the Lexus keys.

Quick aside, there are a lot of sellers on ebay with techstream cables and discs. How to you pick one?

Yeah I saw that but that's the part number the russian guy used for his 4GS, so I'm assuming it also works on our cars. I guess I'll find out soon.

Any one would work. Some are selling the most recent version of techstream (04/19). The cable is all the same, OBDII to USB.

So the FCC ID that is on our fobs that came with the car don't really disqualify our vehicles from using these credit card keys with a different FCC ID?

For instance the fob for my 2016 F-Sport is HYQ14FBA...which I assume is the same for all of them, from 2016+

Can you tell us more about this? Can you link the vendor? How did it work? What did they actually do to reset the key?

Edit: Oh wait, I think I found them. And it looks like you send the key to them where they do magic to the card so it can be paired with another vehicle. Reseting the key requires some seed codes via a Techstream subscription or a couple sketchy websites that claim to do it.

Pretty sure yours will work with the same one I have. My fob is the same as yours and I assume the f in fba is for “fob” while the c in cba is card

Yeah I'm not sure how they reset the key to virgin status. Originally I found another seller for $15 but they could not do the credit card key, but yes that eBay link you provided does.

I also paid just under $13 on Ebay to cut a new key blade for my car. All they need is 3 pics of your existing key blade. I'll report on how well that works out.
