2016 GS Lux Package
Guys,
I found a 2016 GS lux package with 30k miles, very clean, Lexus certified, dealer wants $36,888.00, total cost would be $39k. Is the car overpriced or is this a good deal?. There are not too many Lux packages are there, but I'm not sure if the price is reasonable or not. Your thoughts are appreciated.

A reasonable price I guess.
However, are you aware that the GS you're after is considerably firmer, more sporty riding & louder than your current ES?

I think that’s a little high, I think $36-37 OTD would be a better target price.
But then again, the right price is whatever it ends up selling for.

If you want a GS 350 with the Luxury package, they are very hard to find. So if you have found one that looks good (body, paint, interior and mechanical with no wrecks or paint work) and has been serviced properly or is CPO'd, and you like the color combination and the other options, and has mileage that is good for you - then in my opinion unless the price is more than a couple grand higher than it should be - I'd buy it!

Here's an example of a 2016 CPO lux package w/28k miles that is thousands less that you can use to negotiate with: https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...8606/overview/

I think I found the car your looking at:

Apparently they had to replace the water pump at 30k miles.
This sloppy stitching on the side of the airbag would probably bother me.

The price is within NADA value for the car. I’d shoot for another 1500-2000 off. Last week I picked up a 2013 AWD Luxury GS350 with ML, BSM, fully loaded with only 20,000 miles on it for 24K out the door. Before taxes it was about 22.5K.

Thanks for all the great inputs, no that's not the GS I'm looking at, the supply is tight. I plan to keep my ES, I have driven the GS (2015) before and I found it comfortable in the normal mode, however as you know in sport mode the suspension tightens, but that is why I like the GS you sort of have the best of best worlds. I agree OTD $37k is IMO reasonable and the mileage is great for a 2016. On the down side I can't find a consistent service history on the car, whoever owned it, didn't take it to a Lexus dealer for service.

No, it's not that I'll probably pull the trigger, but I want to see if the price will change,, what color combo are you looking for because I have found one, but it's not my color preference.Let me know. Thanks

For a luxury cant really be picky. She likes the blue exterior with the chateau interior, but I'd convince her otherwise if the right car came along.

Yeah, used lux is hard to find, you can't be super picky on things like colors unless you're willing to buy all over the country. But if you think it's priced too high, then that is up to you. If you wait more will pop up, but it just depends on how long you're willing to wait and keep scouring the internet. I love my 2013 luxury and would want to try to find a luxury package if I got another GS. Good luck!
