Default Stoptech Rotors and Ebc Street pads (green)

Hey guys just had new slotted rotors (stoptech) and brake pads (Ebc Sport Green) put into my 15 GS 350 F-sport but I'm running into a problem and need your help. A buddy of mine installed the rotors and brake pads on the car and now every time I brake I get this really loud and annoying screech coming from my brakes. He owns a shop and usually works on EVO's but I usually go to him for anything car related. We've tried the brake pad adhesive, I've tried bedding the pads but still no luck. I've been driving it around for about 2 weeks no but no improvements. We've even tried trimming the pads to see if it's because of it grinding on the rotor but still nothing. ANY Other ideas? Last resort is calling the manufacturer about the issue but still waiting on a response.

It's the pads. I googled it and apparently they are know for screeching.

It’s the rotor and pads. If you got a f sport - stick with oem.

I have same issue with StopTech rotors and Centric and Akebono ceramic pads. Squeals very badly coming to a stop. I think it has something to do with the F Sport calipers design it's prone to squealing. My mechanic too have tried twice putting on some brake quiet lube. It stop squeal for a couple weeks then comes back again. I'm finally giving up and will probably put back the OEM rotors.

You'd think with all the money in R&D they wouldn't even develop a product that sounds like a garbage truck screech. Might just stick with the slotted rotors and go to OEM pads and see if that option works........

Might want to search thru the forums to see what combinations people have used with rotors and pads - just so you don’t waste your time and money. I’ve tried ebc rotors and all different types of pads; even oem and still got the squealing noise coming to a stop. I’m back to oem setup and couldn’t be happier.

After reading this thread, does anyone have a source for decently priced oem f-sport front rotors?

I have a 2014 F sport RWD. Tried EBC rotors with OEM pads and they squealed really bad. A week later i swapped in OEM pads and they squealed as much. Bit the bullet and bought the OEM F sport front brake kit, rotors/pads in ebay from Bell Lexus. OEM didn't make a noise, until i got down to the last 3mm of the pad. I resurfaced the rotors and put in Akebono ACT ceramic pad and no noise whatsoever.

My experience with EBC green pads are lots of squealing for the first 3-5k miles. Then great, but dusty afterwards..

I run EBC Reds and they are quiet. I took off the EBC squeal deadener things off the pads and reinstalled the OEM squeal shims with brake lube between the parts.
