Swap my '13 F Sport for '16 GS350?
Hi Team - Brought the 2013 GS350 F Sport, Silver/Red, 65K a year ago May.
The "new" battery was dead yesterday; I believe it has a dead cell.
In to Putnam Lexus where I bought the car (along with 2 new RX450h, one for wife one for sister).
They have a 2016 White/Black GS (not F Sport) for $34K, 22K miles. Perfect.
Their offer is my car + $21K.
I have not driven the car...
What are your thoughts of the difference between the GS and GS FSport?
Thanks in advance.

You've been around long enough to know the difference between the GS and the GS F-Sport.

they want your car + 21k in additional funds? Is that OTD?
If they are only offering you $13-15k for your 2013, I'd walk on that deal immediately.

Yes, out the door. $15K for my car. The 2016 price is $33,988.
Tax and license is $3,500.
Thanks to all; I go crazy around these cars.

If you really want that 2016, best bet is to sell your car private party cuz you can definitely do better with your car.

It's easy to get your heads in the clouds when you see a nice GS. Dealers can be tricky and make a bad deal sound good. Generally your never going to get a good price for a trade in. The dealers have those low ball offers because they usually send the used cars to auction to turn them over quickly. You could easily sell you car on CL marketplace for a much better price than $15k

We bought the 2018 RX in Feb, then the GS in May and another RX for my sister a few months ago.

If I had a '15 f sport I probably won't trade for a '16 non, but if we are talking a '13, I probably would. You can do some of your own updates to get F Sport trim stuff.

You already have a pre-refresh F Sport which likely is more tuned for sporty driving as folks with the refresh have indicated that the 16'+ F-Sport is seemingly dialed back a bit...imagine a non F-Sport 16+ ! You might miss your F-Sport if you make the trade.
I'm sure if you test drove the non F sport'16 you may not like it..!

Losing 10K in one year? Yeah, no thanks if it were me. On a side note, I drove a 2019 ES 350/300 hybrid as a loaner last week with only 600 miles. It's a nice car tbh and the interior and dash won me over, but not if I have to pay an extra 20k on top..
