YES! I definitely feel that it was. As I have metioned in other posts, I was never a fan of the sound generator. I found a way to remove it and plug the hose to see what it would be like without it. The car was much quieter, especially under mid-to-heavy throttle. With the generator there was too much noise in proportion to the feeling of acceleration. With it removed, you could hear some exhaust note and slight transmission whirr/whine (again, under mid-to-heavy throttle application). That made me decide to get a longterm solution, aka the K&N intake tube. Did it make it faster, probably not. But it did FEEL faster. You got all the feel of the acceleration without the hoooooonnnnkkk of the generator, lol.
