Default Parting is sweet sorrow

Guys - thank you all for the great advice, guidance, and DIY information over the past three years. I have had a great ownership experience with my GS, but got the itch to move on. There were lots of little mods along the way and I always gained a lot of satisfaction by doing them myself and making my ride somewhat unique.

BTW, my new ride is...a 2016 Audi S8 Plus, lol. A bit of a departure, huh? Yes I'm concerned about the reliability after the CPO warranty runs out (two years, unlimited miles), but until then I'm going to have a blast.

Cheers!

Enjoy. My lease is up soon and I haven’t yet made up my mind. Looking at the Stinger this weekend.

@DallasDave congrats on the Audi! AWD and 600+ hp isn't too shabby at all Did you trade in your GS on the Audi?

You will have 2 years of great fun! After that, sell it before you must sell a kidney and a limb in Mexico for repair money. Please post pics!

Yep, traded it in. The trade in value was almost a deal breaker - some stereotypical car dealer stuff going on. I finally gave a little and so did they.

There is not only the repairs but maintenance. Friend at the gym has an Audi S5 and just spent $1,000 on front brake pads.

Good question and YES. However I wanted something different than what I had driven for the last three years. I know the GSF would have the extra power, but the electronics and styling (inside and out) was too familar. From a reliability standpoint I may be missing my GS in the future, but I was ready for a change. BTW, my wife always HATED the GS, "I don't like anything about this car..." from day one. So getting a GSF might have been a battle.

As soon as we looked at the S8, all she would say is, "get it, you deserve it...it's awesome and I have never seen one on the road before..." LOL those are usually my talking points when she and I are arguing about a vehicle. As I type this, she is out cruising in the S8 (getting her nails done, shopping, etc.). The real battle may still be in front of me - fighting over driving privileges in the new Audi!
