Sorry to bring up an old thread. Would this push start button work on a second gen IS as well?

I think it will. I almost ordered one for my wife’s GX but she said I was crazy and told me not to.

Cool Ugh I want one too!

amayama.com has it for $101.07:
https://www.amayama.com/en/part/toyota/8961111010
I've ordered from them before, part ships direct from Japan.

Even for $101.07 + shipping I don't think it's worth it.

So I found this part by looking up the starter button for a 2019 ES350 as I had one for a loaner while getting my GS350 serviced and I fell in love with this starter button. So Yoder, yeah maybe you are crazy for wanting to do this swap but I'm right there with you!

I find that the convex shape of the original starter button in my GS often causes your finger to slide toward the edge of the trim ring, whereas the concave version for the ES/LS helps to center your finger for easier starting. Probably not a huge problem for most people, it's just one of those details I never really thought was bad until I experienced something better.

So peasodos I followed the link you posted for Amayama, but they list a 2 to 3-month shipping process which is crazy. Other eBay posts list slightly higher prices, like $145 plus $22 shipping or $165 w/ free shipping but even those are coming from Japan and won't arrive for almost a month. I think I'll sit on this... don't want the wife to freak out. lol

I ordered stuff from their in the past and I receive it in about 3 business days. Nothing has taken more than a week.

I put this in a few weeks ago, big difference because you touch it everytime you use the car. Well worth it as the bright silver ring on the factory button didnt match well with anything else in the interior. Well worth the cost for an easy upgrade.

I bought mine from Japan on Ebay and saved more by using the Best Offer. It arrived in less than a week.

our button does kinda look cheap. depends on how much shipping is. if total is less than 140 i might do it

Ah I like this!! I was going to get the silver one posted in the first one but I do like the blue! I wonder if this goes with the F blue/purple color at all? I want to change something in my RCF. I bought a red button on ebay but it is slightly recessed in the trim so there is a small mm gap all the way around which to me is annoying. It wasn't expensive at $14 so I just chuck it up to typical chinese quality or lack there of.... But I can't see spending $130+ for a button that is concave vs flat, but for at least a color change to get a nicer looking push button looks neat! I wonder if I would miss the Engine - START/STOP and just having a Power with a computer symble is better? lol

What I'm seeing on ebay is $140-160ish ... give or take. Seems kinda nuts for a push button that looks almost identical to the stock one, but I'm in the mood to change something..lol Just can't decide if I want to do the OEM silver button or the hybrid blue.. I like that the blue is somewhat different.
