Pole Position
Definitely staying tuned to see how the install and end result turns out. If it all goes smooth, I will be ordering a set of 4 myself. Any chance I can get to eliminate plastic, I will take it!

I'm the one who started this thread so might as well be the first one to do the mod. Seems easy enough I've taken the door panel off before.
Also I can't install the ion generator until I get the 3 zone ac amplifier from the hybrid. The ion generator button to turn it on in the infotainment system only shows up if you have 3 zone amp according to the blog posts for people who have done the mod. It's a hard part to find. I have it from the non hybrid but when I install it my ac doesn't work, only hot air. The rear seat controls from the lux seats I installed do work even the seat heaters, but no ac.
They have specific part numbers for the hybrid, i guess the way the ac system gets power is different in hybrid. Lexus doesn't sell the part new so i have to check my junkyard sites and Ebay periodically.

I can confirm 100% the new door handle and lock is metal. Also the start button.
Very primitive way of testing I licked it. The metal has a different sensation on the tongue than plastic. Also when you lick it it leaves a smudge/stain on the metal that I used Windex to wipe off. The painted plastic doesn't stain with a lick.
Also the handle have a nice weight and resistance to them when you pull it, does not feel cheap at all.
