So, there is no difference between the front and rear? If I search for inside door handles at domestic Lexus supplier for my 2013 I get four different part numbers for the left, right, front and rear.

Very primitive way of testing I licked it. The metal has a different sensation on the tongue than plastic. Also when you lick it it leaves a smudge/stain on the metal that I used Windex to wipe off. The painted plastic doesn't stain with a lick.

Also the handle have a nice weight and resistance to them when you pull it, does not feel cheap at all.
So, what is the metal?

FML you are correct. There are separate part numbers for the rears.

Upon initial inspection the handles are the same exact size.

Once I take it apart I realize two of the mounting taps are different.

So I take my hacksaw and trim it down.

There is another piece I had to trim down behind the wood, but I got it to fit perfectly.

So if you order the wrong handles for the rear like I did it requires some modification, but if you order the correct ones no modification needed.

UPDATE

Here are all the correct part numbers for the front and rear door handles.

69280-30070
69270-30050
69280-30060
69270-30040

So the metal appears to be similar to the magnesium paddle shifters I installed from the LC(oem on GS are plastic). I know the paddle shifters are magnesium because of the info I can find online. So my guess is it's the same or similar metal.

Now if only the silver trim on the door was metal. lol I'll have to get an LS one day to not have silver plastic anymore.

6927030060 and 6928030040 are both "permanently out of stock" right when I go to order them. Of course.

There are 15 screws you have to remove that hold the wood trim/door handle to the back of the door panel. A couple hidden under the foam. Very well made.

Rusty metal tastes the best.
