I'll take the badge, reliability, handling and interior from my GS350 F Sport. I'll take the engine performance, panoramic camera, heated rear seats, and wheel gap from the Stinger.
Just don't ask me about exterior styling. I'm not sure. Love the way my GS looks but might lean more towards the Stinger.
And this would, of course, come with the Stinger's price and rebates, but sold and serviced through my wonderful local Lexus dealer.
I'd say if looking at used you'd be crazy not the go with the GS. Only reason I'd even give the Kia a chance is due to factory warranty, and them working some of the bugs out. No offense to the Kia, but I'm not touching a used one at all. Plus a '13 GS is perfect for getting your feet wet and really enjoying...
Agree with everything you said. A used GS is starting to look like the preferred option. '13-15s are highly depreciated at this point, and while it wasn't a big seller, I've been able to find a few low-mileage options with the luxury package. And the '13-15 is conservatively styled, so it'll look "fine" for another 10 years. Kinda semi-ageless.
Taking my ES into the dealer tomorrow and might poke around a 2019 GS, just to get a better feel for it.
Is this the driver's view of the KIA Stinger's interior?
Maybe it's just me, but the interior doesn't have the look of quality at all - in fact it looks rather cheap like it could be a Chevy Cruze or Ford Focus. That gearshift and console looks like it came out of a Ford Pinto, the round vents have a three decade old 1980s design, and that tablet on the dash looks like an afterthought.
^^ A lower trim model, but yes, a Stinger. The GT2 has a different gear selector.
I am not crazy about the interior styling, most especially the touch screen and the round vents, but it represents better in real life than in pictures.

Looks somewhat like a Tesla dash, not appealing to me.
Why not consider the KIA K900? You can even get a 3.3L Twin-Turbocharged V6 that delivers 365 hp/376 lb-ft of torque. Granted, the materials, fitment, technology, reliability and dependability may not be the best. Can you live with the KIA brand reputation?
I've not looked at the K900 at all... But the entire point of the Stinger was the sportiness (and engine of course). So cool that is has same engine, but I have no opinion of the car as I've not seen one. And I personally do not care about 'reputation' I care more about it being a good car, which I'm not convinced the Kia is, so there's that.

Yea, opposite here in Ky

Definitely not in Ky, you'd think I'd ask for the salespersons first born when asked for prices on the GS. They keep showing ES down my throat.

That pic does *not* do it justice, but I to hate the popped out Tablet design. Which a few Lexus cars also do...
If you go with Kia, just remember that the service tech that is doing your oil change or whatever service, may have just worked on a Kia Forte or Soul. I'm sure they're fine cars, but not the level of Lexus. Your service experience may not be the same.
Also price out service costs for the major services for both the GS and Stinger and understand the differences.
Then spend about 15 minutes in each service department and waiting area to compare.
The short time of purchase and initial "new car feeling" wears off pretty quick and from there it's all about the maintenance....regardless of the car.

Good luck and keep us updated.
Dude, did you just give me *homework* ?! LMAO
I care way less about what goes on in the service center to be honest. And I've been in Lexus services centers for maintenance for the past 5 years, so pretty comfortable with that aspect. I've been paying attention to user feedback and Kia reviews for that part, so no 'hanging out' in service centers for me! lol
