Hesitation accelerating from a slow roll...
Has anybody else experienced a hiccup or hesitation with accelerating from a low speed. I notice it most when pulling out of a driveway entering the road. I go to accelerate, and the car starts to rev up, then hiccups/hesitated before kicking in. I’m assuming it’s shifting to the correct gear, almost like I was in 3/4 as I slow it hasn’t downshifted all the way, and when push on the throttle it hiccups to get in the correct gear...

It's likely the affects of the drive-by-wire system where the ECU gets a bit confused for a brief moment in time. I've noticed what I think you have described in numerous vehicles of different brands.
You might want to have the Mass Air Flow sensor cleaned, but it's doubtful that would eliminate the occasional hesitation on either a 'slow roll', or a 'slight throttle - off throttle - slight throttle' within a brief second or so - the latter being where most vehicles display this tendency. Probably the best Drive Mode setting to overcome this would be the Sport mode where there is increased engine throttle response, but it's doubtful that would totally eliminate this occasional anomaly from happening.

Make sure you are not incidentally having both the brake and gas peddle pressed at the same time. I have had that hesitation response happen to me a couple of times and even had the car flash a 'warning' message about it once.

this is def not it. ive asked the same question the OP is asking before and this was the first thing everyone said to me. i knew for sure i only tapped the gas and not the brake but it kept happening.

It may be due to driveline slack inherent in the design. I think I know what you mean and it seems normal. Or the transmission is in a higher gear, then when the accelerator is pressed it downshifts and a slight "jerk" is felt. My speculation...
