Default Steering wheel squeels

After having to replace my 2007Gs because if Transmission problem arrissing I 12 days ago purchased a 2013 from Dodge/Keep. To find out there is a squeeling noise that's annoying.Dealer warranty is 50/50parts labor 30days
I took it back to service dept. They told me there wereto many cars there to check my car out today. We well call you this afternoon to schedule appt to bring back. They never called. So after 4 voicemails I caught the service advisor answering.S he said her manager said they did not want to chase a sound. I said BS that's unacceptable.I am scheduled to bring back next week. Warranty clearly says Steering
What are anyone's thoughts?
Thanks

You bought a 7 year-old used car off the used car lot of a crappy used car dealer. I assume your 30 day warranty is with the used car dealer and not a third-party.

In all likelihood that warranty is pretty much worthless when it comes to covering the elimination of a squeal (even though the 'steering' is covered)...just like it won't cover eliminating a rattle from the transmission's gear shifter.

Your squeal is almost certainly coming from the steering wheel's clock spring.

If the sound you’re speaking of sounds like a faint cat meow. Then all you need to do is to remove the plastic housing around the back side of the steering wheel, two screws from the back side. This will expose the steering column area and you can see where the steering wheel pivots. A couple of shots of lubricant and you’re done. I just did this to mine about a month ago the sound is gone. I would recommend a lubricant that doesn’t attract dust. I think this would be an easier solution without all the stress of fighting with the dealership. Good luck

I had a scratching noise coming from my steering wheel when turning the wheel more than say 1/4 or 1/2 way around (think turning into a parking spot). Sounded/felt like there was sand in the steering wheel column and was scratching/felt rough... Mine ended up being my steering rack assembly internally binding... Was a high price repair at my dealership (I believe right around $4k) - Covered under Lexus certified warranty

I always thought that an expensive part had to be changed to fix that - I'll give it a go!

It was the clock spring. That dealer reluctantly did there part and had it fixed 50% labor and parts. Farmed it out to outside shop
