Anyone has experience with out of state purchases and shipment of the vehicle

Drove from NJ to Virginia pick up my 2014 GS 350 FSport, white with cabernet interior were hard to come by up North at the time. Just research the dealer extensively if its not the local Lexus dealer in that area so you dont end up going to a dump, all dealers look “top of the line” on the internet. I bought my car from a luxury car dealership, the gs was the cheapest thing on that lot someone had trade it in for a Audi R8. Know that you will be paying the taxes for the state you live not from where you buy. And shipping will usually run 700-1200 depends the distance. From Virginia they were quoting me 800-900, not worth it when it was only 4 hours away.

i bought my GS from private party in CA last year and had it delivered to IL with the help of a shipping broker that I've used a few times before, what is/are your question(s)?

Thx yall. I was in an accident 2 weeks ago and im actually looking at this vehicle in Miami but I dont wanna drive back 10.5-11 hrs. I checked and research the Carfax and this vehicle checked out. I would just purchase and have it shipped up. Its still covered for 2 years of warranty so that would catch any issues within that time.

I did 24 hours strait with a friend from NJ to Florida back in my college days. We took turns, only stopped for gas and food. I also did night shift and drank a lot of redbull(I was also going to bed at 3am those days)

Charley, your comment makes me think if I should just drive the 11 hrs or have it shipped. S/h cost isnt bad when compared to a potential lemon. However that's where the warranty would be effective. The caveat is that any issues would have to be discovered BEFORE the warranty expiration

If your buying used I would want to look the car over in person. When I bought my 14 RX used I spent about 45 minutes going over it. The dealer even put it on their lift so I could inspect the underside. I know all the tell tale signs of a collision. I'm just more particular than the average person when buying used. This is just my opinion though and I'd want to see it before buying. Don't forget to put the vin. # into the Lexus website for any service history that Carfax may have missed.

Is it a Lexus Dealership? Beware of shady non affiliated local dealers in Miami. Look at their reviews online. I would recommend checking the car out in person and not just buying it blind.
