What’s been your favorite and worst features for the GS?
Has anyone had any major problems?
I just got a engine coolant flush, front and rear differential fluid change, engine filter, cabin filter, oil change and vehicle drives like a dream! Running Michelin’s with OEM Lexus brake pads + rotors from Bell Lexus (on eBay).
Very nice! I have about 53K on my 2014 lux and I only drive about 6K per year so quite a ways for me.
Any issues in your 100K miles?
Oh wow, that’s some low miles! I have the luxury edition too. Love the AVS on the lux. No issues outside of regular maintenance items. I do have to replace the serpentine belt, which is relatively cheap. Only makes a sound when the car is left outside of the garage and if it’s too cold.
I have 89k 2014 gs f-sport spark plug- coolant flush - radiator hoses replace both- rear differential - brakes flush -thermostat - transmission flush- radiator drain and fill all been done whiten the last 20k miles or less
replace 2 rear shocks at 80K started a slow leak from being lowered Just purchase 2 front shocks just incase. Everything done in this car has been changed by a Lexus tech or did at the dealer. Car has unlimited miles til 2025 with the L certified bought out the lease drove this babe out the dealer s with 8 miles on it.
Only things I've done is changed oil, air filters, and rotated tires. Plan on changing spark plugs around 100k. Not touching the transmission or rear diff fluid ever. No issues at all. The recommended coolant change for my hybrid was at 130 or 150k miles. So only have to do that once when the time comes. I do all the maintenance myself.

The trans and rear diff fluid are fairly simple drain/fills...why so against it?

Probably because it is not needed and it is NOT a simple drain and fill. It's a sealed transmission with no dipstick. Fill cap is underneath the car and you need a small pump to get fluid back in.

FSM doesn't have it as required maintenance, trans is lifetime fluid, I trust the people who designed it. More likely to do harm(like not getting the level correct, doing full flush) than good messing with something that's unnecessary. I also have a eCVT so things are different than normal trans, so if Lexus doesn't recommend it in the FSM I'm not touching it.
A lot of the maintenance done on these vehicles are more for personal satisfaction versus the vehicle actually needing it. Sure it can be beneficial, but I don't think its necessary. Heck, I have people who drive old Toyota's with doing barely anything, wheels rusting off and it still drives like new. The FSM is more than enough I would say.
I had my trans fluid changed the Lexus dealer because the trans pan started leaking after hitting a massive pothole. Somehow made it leak just a little. L-certified warranty covered it, filled it with new fluid. I don't plan on touching it.
I think it's somewhat complicated because it has to have the exact amount of the same fluid.

Awesome! I really like those wheels. It looks phenomenal! You did a lot of good work to the car. It'll last you a lifetime if you continue to keep it around. How did you end up getting an unlimited mileage warranty till 2025? Was it an L-certified vehicle that was sold at higher mileage? Usually, it's only a 2-year warranty, unless you have an extended warranty. Regardless, love the ride!
I have 216k miles on my 2013 GS350 awd.
I change the engine oil when the low oil warning light comes on which happens around 4,000 miles.
I have no complaints, you guys have plenty of car for years!
