How Long Do Your Rotors and Brakes Last?

OK folks so how would you go about attacking this issue in the cheapest but effective way first and work my way up? It seems the bedding didn't work. I called some shops and their only remedy is to change the equipment. My rotors and brakes (fronts) are only about two months old - Los Angles city driving, but not too far distances. I am trying not to take this to Lexus as it's going to cost me both my children. Should I head to a local auto store and get various goo as described above? That seems temporary. Should I keep hunting for a shop that'll work on the existing equipment progressively; glazing rotors or doing whatever other tricks there are to remedy this issue. Hopefully by today I'll know the brand of one part rotors I had put on by my usual mechanic. I didn't get that info yet.

The problem is your rotors, or the pads, or both. if your rotors are oem get the updated part numbers for the new pads designed to fix the issue:

Mine either. How much did they say they cost. My local dealer said $174. Yes I am see $86 and change online at Lexus dealers here in SoCal...unless that's the price for only one brake.

I paid $77 for the pads by the way (about 35% below list price) . My dealer fully admits they are expensive on labor, but they do not rip people off on parts. Guess I kinda/sorta believe them now.
