Default ??? EASE of entry AND exit for GS??? Compare...

HOW HARD is it to enter and exit the driver's seat of a 2013 and up GS??? Please compare your experience getting into/out of the 4th gen GS driver's seat, with a late model Lexus ES/Toyota Camry, or the Lexus HS 250h, or the LS460. My spine is pretty darn "vulnerable" due to ancient injuries.

In my subjective OPINION the easiest-non-GS listed above is the Lexus HS. It is very flat/slab sided, with thin doors, and high mounted seats. I can open the door and my six foot frame can just pivot and slide right into position... Versus the ES/Camry which is much more difficult for me, ETC...

My rumpus and spine just have so little experience with the "2013 up GS"...

Your personal OPINIONS and WISDOM are needed!!! I want to purchase my LAST vehicle...

Thanks

GS300H 2014 has easy entry exit mode. Which automatically move out the driver seat and steering column far away from each other when you unfastened the belt (And the opposite). And that made huge space to slide myself in-out. The biggest space in all the cars I can say.

Comparing our LS vs GS..

if you have back problems, GS seat won’t be better than the LS. It’s lower, harder, and “sporty.” Have you tried the RX. Sounds like a lower SUV or higher sedan is what you are looking for.

FYI... I’m talking about the base GS seats. The seats in the Luxury model might be better and softer. I have no clue on that one.

I would highly recommend you to test SUV seat position. I find myself more comfortable sit in Toyota Harrier (LexusNx a-like). SUV usually fitted with Proper chair like seat. Almost upright back support.

Although I hate this SUV, it is the easiest vehicle to get into.... the CRV. The height of the driver's seat is almost perfectly aligned with my butt height that I can just slide right in. I sit down into my GS, climb into my Sequoia, but slide easily into my father-in-law's CRV. It was an odd feeling to get into a vehicle so effortlessly. It's an SUV that does everything well, but the looks just turn me off... everyone seems to love it though judging by the number of them I see on the roads.

Try out the RX or NX... that might be your ticket.

Get a Luxury trim. It has 18 way adjustable seats so you can get a perfect fit. Plus they have an easy exit mode where as soon as the engine shuts off and the seat belt is undone, the seat moves way back and the steering wheel moves up and out of the way, making it really easy to get in and out.

I have back and hip issues and i wouldn't recommend the gs. good car but the seats are stiff and getting in and out isnt too but but for longer drives the stiff seats get pretty unomfortable.

I second this - if you can find a Lux pkg GS, that will be the most comfy overall. The Semi-Aniline leather, adjust-ability and easy exit mode make the most comfortable version of the GS. However, this is a very subjective.

I'd see if a dealership is willing to let you test drive a GS and you mentioned an LS460 (previous gen LS) for at least a day to make the right decision.

Don't they all come with the easy exit mode? I believe any equipped with memory seating should have that feature. It's not just a luxury package thing.

I assumed so? my F-sport seats move back and the steering wheel moves up and out of the way when i shut the car off and unbuckle. can even go into settings to tell the car if you want the seat to move all the way back or just 50%.

From what I found and feel, the GS has a higher seating position than a Camry. This is with both seats set at the lowest height.

After driving the Camry and jumping in the GS feels like sitting in a truck.

yeaah I agree with the other posters, i'm 36 and the GS isn't the easiest car to get into and out of. You'll want a CRV/RX/UX/NX/ SUV and not a car, especially the GS. I have to climb out the car to be honest.

My left hip hurts from to time to time so I enter *** in first when exiting feet out first, like a squat really made a difference for me. I've been toying the idea of going to suv cause of this very reason but imo rx has no ***** handles like crap and the gx is hideous. Didn't want to jump ship but who knows.

You could try maxing out the seat upward and then getting in... unfortunately you just hit the main selling point for "SUVs" they are easier to get in and out of. Im even think of getting since we take our parents around alot....

Although I agree it's an acquired taste, I've come to like the GX, just wish it was updated, it's tech is even older than what we have in the GS... now that's OLD!

I actually find the Toyota 4 Runner Limited to be a really great looking SUV... that would likely be my preference over the GX,
