I think the unit I received was used the adapter that plug into the can input on the unit didnt look new the unit itself looked like its been used i contacted them thru whatsapp and there kinda not helping me they even laughed at me but ima order some of ferrite cores and play around with it this is a good system and is worth it but noise is crazy i can even hear it when i play music

I'm way out of place here but would like to know how it works on the GS. I installed a IndiWork/Andream (not Carlinkit) unit into my NX and LOVE IT with one huge drawback: when I switch back to Lexus Navigation, the touchpad and keys go dead. I assume when you guys exit out of CarPlay the OEM Nav works as normal?

You don't have to exit carplay, you hold the Menu button for 2 seconds and it switch back to the factory navigation, everything works like normal. Then you long press the menu button again and it switch back to carplay.

Where do you guys have your unit mounted? Im hellbent on resolving my buzzing and feedback. Mines hangs right under the glovebox

Not in my case. Once it flips back to nav, the touch pad and keys go dead unless I hold MENU or RETURN (to reboot) back into carplay. I assume this is a glitch with just the NX and had to ask.

Have you guys noticed that the wireless connection is unstable ? I’m using Apple CarPlay. I’ve been trying this system since late March. I’ve noticed that while connected with wireless, mine will often disconnect and sometimes the box will reboot by itself or the screen will go black. I don’t have anywhere to go these days (Covid) so I can’t really test it. While connected via USB it seems more stable. Anyone else have a similar experience ? I’ve initiated a return with the seller due to the frustration.

Man all these issuies are weird to me, seems like I’m the one one with a stable working Carlinkit. Never had a wireless issues. Are you using CarPlay or android auto?

no issues with CarPlay iPhone 11 Pro.

I had the XS before sometimes it didn’t connect automatically but never disconnected. iPhone 11 Pro connects ever time.

Anyone have the carlinkit WhatsApp contact number for support? I just finished installing in my 2017 f-sport with Nav and the instructions said I don’t need to connect the cable to the back of the display because my car has a joystick And I have used the 12.3” dip switch setting of 245 ON / 136 OFF.
After I start it up my joystick doesn’t work or the menu button to get me into AUX mode.

If anyone has any suggestions let me know. I’m wondering if I should just go ahead and run the cable to the back of the display as well even though it says do not install for vehicles with a joystick.

Finally figured out how to get everything for the Carlinkit device connected and working on my 2017 RX350 F-Sport!!! Awesome device and highly recommend so far. Carlinkit support was really good though AliExpress communications and helped me solve all my issues.
