Ok, so I can't really tell, and this thread has become a very long string going in lots of directions, so I am asking this for clarification.
Is the Carlinkit the right choice for a 2017 GS F Sport if I am an iPhone user with a current model iPhone? Is this a good stable product that will only enhcnace the GS infotainment experience?
And if so does anyone know of a recommended installer near Los Angeles?
Or should I continue to wait until the tech gets more refined?

It works. Keep it wired. Wireless Carplay is flaky.

With the Iphone X it didn't always connect automatically when I started the car. With the 11 Pro, never had an issue, always connects wireless at startup. I think it has to do with the improved bluetooth on the 11 Pro.

Picked up a '16 GS350 last weekend and looking to have this installed.
This is the one I should buy right? Any installer for this in NOVA? I suppose I can attempt to do it myself but not sure how things get mounted within behind everything.. any picture DIY Guides out there?

I think they are out of stock in the USA, that's why on amazon it says 3-5 weeks for shipping. When I originally purchased on eBay I bought from:

The reason I say eBay or amazon is because you will get a full refund and return label if for any reason your not able to get it working 100%. Some of us have successfully installed it, but some others ran into issues, and ended up returning it.

You’re going to have hell of a time returning back to China if it does not work. Learn from my mistake. And some vendors are sleazy they will try to evade returning what you bought and return shipping is not free. I paid $60 to return and package was rejected by customs and I had a hell of a time getting refund from post office. Even if the package goes through vendor can say they never receive it.

I have 10.25 Screen unit no issue with iOS 14 but Autokit app did have some updates a week before iOS 14 came out. As long as you have it on latest should be zero issue.
