My wife and I both drive 2014 GS350 F-sports. Both of our cars have developed this same coolant problem. See picture. There is an extremely minor coolant leak at the reservoir cap. The reservoir always measures full, so it's not a measurable leak. This "leak" is annoying. I've tried re-positioning the cap, cleaning the cap etc....same annoying leak.
A while back I could have sworn I read a thread about this being a common issue and that Lexus is aware of it and has issued/made a new reservoir cap. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Anyone else experiencing this issue lately? Anyone have a replacement reservoir cap part number? Please share if you do, I would greatly appreciate it.
That would be news to me but when I had the 4GS this happened a lot, I used to just clean it up. If there is an update I have not seen it on the TSIB list.

Well damn. This should be a TSB. Thanks for your response.

I could, but the last thing I want to do (twice!) is spend 2-3 hours in drive time and time spent at the dealership when I can do this myself in 2 seconds. I live 40 minutes away from the nearest dealer. I'd rather pay for the part and be done with it.
Good find, that's probably the thread I remember reading. Unfortunately, the revised part number wasn't stated.
I called Lexus and spoke to a dude in the parts department. There is no evidence of a new part number or superseded part number for the cap. Then I asked to be transferred to the Service Department. Dude tells me that this problem is common on many Lexus models and is mostly reported during the summer months. He believes that if I brought the car in, they would simply replace the cap and hope for the best.
