I usually just shuffle through a playlist or genre, but for the first time created a playlist that I wanted to listen to in a specific order. First tried it on a USB Drive and I really liked the simplicity of the plug n play, but the songs would not play in the order the playlist was created. Same deal on my iPhone XS Max. Anyone knows what's causing this, or how to create a playlist where the songs will play in the order on the playlist?

You have Bluetooth audio, play it from a player on the phone

Make your Playlist In Itunes then make a Directory on yr USB call it ABBA or BEEGEES or whatever then just Copy and paste to the USB Simple and they will be in order BUT must be in WMA or MP3

Old iPhones make a great iPod that you can just plug inside the armrest and leave it there. I have an iPhone SE that has about 900 songs that I'll just shuffle play through the playlist.

In my car the random button is bugged ie it can be on random but the green light is off. Cycle through the random options and try again. iPhone connection is the preferred connection, allows for high quality audio.

Ditto..currently using my old iPhone6S as my iPod in my car. Also, make sure to turn on Airplane mode if your using an old phone as a iPod/Media device. Prevents it constantly looking for cell service and draining the battery.

How do you create this playlist? Painstakingly I have fought with buring songs to a disc, or on a usb drive, in a certain order. Only to have them play/list in alphabetical order every time. Ultimately I have to rename all the tracks, then re-copy them to drive, using the naming scheme 01, 02, 03, etc

I just found out the shuffle button on the iPhone works independently from the shuffle button in the GS. If I turn it off on the GS, all is good!

ive got an old IPod nano at home, maybe I’ll load it up and stick it in the GS.

But I like the portability and simplicity of the ISB, I wish it was easier to create the playlists. I’ll try renaming the tracks and see if that works too. And I think I tried transferring a playlist from iTunes to usb but wasn’t successful.
