Default GS350 oil leak (potential owner)

Hey everyone! I'm looking to purchase a PO 2013-2014 GS350 F-Sport or maybe a GS450h, probably by the end of the year. Is there anything I should look out for? I had a 2006 GS300 that had a few issues like the front timing cover leaking oil, rear main seals and the alternator. I'm not worried about the seals since they are normal wear and tear but the timing cover leak and the alternator is a big one for me. The alternator wouldn't be an issue if Lexus didn't put a stupid hidden bolt behind the alternator.

Let me know. I'm going to test drive a few today. I just don't want to sink my heart and money into a car for the same repairs as my GS300.

There are a few people in here that are approaching 200k miles with nothing but normal maintenance items.

I would recommend doing a PPI at your local dealership or trustworthy auto mechanic. I had couple Lexus GS from 06 to my current 14 and they are pretty reliable. Although watch out for hidden rattle monsters throughout the cabin.

That's good to hear. Maybe I should cancel my extended service plan. I took it just in case and it was easier to add at the time of sale than it is afterwards.

Oh the sunroof rattle. That has not changed from the 3rd gen GS and drove me crazy. It looks like new seals will fix that.
