Updated GS350 receiver "stuck on caution screen"
Hello All,
I have a Lexus GS350 F sport 2015
I updated my lexus car audio system using the usb flash drive method using the link below
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...he-dealer.html
now it is stuck on the caution screen and doesn't have a continue button where it normally should appear. Im afraid this screwed up my audio system. Tried disconnecting the negative terminal for a couple of minutes, still stuck on the caution screen with no continue button.
Is there anything else that I should try before going to the lexus dealership and getting this look at by a tech. Are there any suggestions. Much appreciated.

2015 is SD card based nav. I upgraded my head unit to 2015 and updated the maps. To update the maps you get the sd card from the dealer, swap the sd card, turn the car on, and it loads the new maps. If you flashed something from a USB you screwed it up, maybe needs a new sd card or something else.
Here is the location of the sd card, you lift this flap:

All the navigation/maps is stored on the SD card. So if that got messed up, you would think updating the maps with a new one from the dealer would fix it, but I don't know.

Go to www.lexusdrivers.com directly and find and download the official Multimedia Update file undert he Resources tab.
Continue to follow the procedure you already used with the first file and hope that it overwrites lets your system restart.
Minor FYI, you do not need to stop and restart the car to reboot the Nav system.
Just press and hold the Radio On/Off/Volume button in until the screen goes black.

The problem is that for one, there are no multimedia system updates for my model which is a 2015 GS 350 F sport.
secondly, because it is stuck on the caution screen, I cannot initiate any updates to the navigation system.

Check car-parts.com to search all the junk yards. Doesn't matter if its mark Levinson or not. Goodluck.

First thought is eBay but no matches for that P10819 radio...lots of radio's on eBay taken out of 2015 GS's with the P10824 number. I can't imagine there is much difference between non mark levinson 2015 radios except for manufacture date/firmware. One option would be to look for a radio with a similar "sticker" (see screenshot below) to your radio with a manufacture date that is close to your current radio.
Here are a few radios off eBay with the P10824 number. I'd say if the seller offers a good return policy, take a chance and see if one of these will work:

The only difference in the radios was apparently just the mark Levinson logo on the face plate.

So I ended up replacing the Whole Unit with a P10824 from car-part.com thanks to peasodos telling me the website, I found one nearby where I live 6 miles away. Saved thousands of dollars that way.
All the connections connected perfectly and all the functions work. The sound quality is the same. Thank you all for your help.
Now, I am selling the p10819 that is stuck on the caution screen (check out my post). If anyone is interested, message me.

I see more and more problems pop up with the radio in the forums. I wonder if we will single out the problem and have a way to refurbish these for even cheaper or will we have to rely on the used market for replacements until they are exhausted I wonder.

We need to find a method to reflash the radio if someone else like me attempts to update their navigation system.
My theory is that if a car company creates a complex radio system, they must have a complex method for reflashing it.
I believe that Lexus dealerships keeps too many secrets to scam customers which is really unfortunate.
They jump into the "you have to replace the whole radio receiver" which is ridiculously expensive if you decide to buy it from the dealer (search up p10819 your jaw will drop to the floor)
We need to find a method of reflashing these radio systems because these things are bound to happen and peoples heads will turn away once they hear their radio is 8000+ dollars from these scam artists when a 300 dollar unit from ebay does the same thing.

How are you pricing the broken radio for $750?

You can buy a working 2015 on eBay for $750 with Best offer or a used one for $350 from the junkyard:
