Default AC blowing warm air

Hello,
My AC is blowing warm air after I changed the heating option to cold. The passenger side is blowing cold air, but the driver side will not blow cold air no matter what I do.

this has happened in the past where the foot AC would blow hot air after I changed it from hot air to cold air. I was told by the service guy the vent didn’t open. Idk I’m not a mechanic.

any help would be appreciated.

thanks

I'm guessing your 'service guy' means that one of the servo motor units that controls various damper doors in the A/C system's duct work (in the dash) is not working (opening). If that is the case then you'll need to have the servo replaced. Your Lexus dealer can do a check to make sure what the problem is.

This is what a typical air mix servo motor unit looks like...

wow. Very technical! Guess it’s not a home job for me! But it’s weird that this problem has happened! And I hardly drive the car too! Thank you
