Agree. I don't use the full size map very often anyway, as I usually leave it split like it was by default on my 15.

I don't understand why a 2013-2015 can't do full screen with some kind of update, it is capable of doing images/videos full screen, you get a short full screen Lexus vid every time you start the car, plus there are other menu's/times it does full screen. Not sure why they can't just update it to show Nav/other menu's/video full screen instead of splitting it.

I don't mind the split screen though, I think it looks a little more normal, it would be nice to watch DVD in the full screen.

Unless you get android auto/apple carplay with Grom, Beatsonic, or Lsailt. Something like this would be nice:

I keep reading about the Lsailt. Will it do full screen on the pre-2016 models? I know the Grom and beatsonic will not.

Nothing will go full screen in pre-2016 GS. It's hardware limiting factor. The actual 12.3" display has different electronics/programing to allow it to go full screen after startup.

Speaking of full screen, will the DVD movies play in full screen in 2016+ systems? I haven't tried mine yet but I know on my 2014 it will only play on the left screen.

Nothing worse than buying a luxury car and coming across such basic problems! I have 2 possible fixes. The first is well documented - there was a bad batch of relays at some point and it's the relay playing up. I'm guessing here but can you get a sense of a binary on-off-on type electrical cutout? Or are the wipers struggling\skipping?
Does it grab more with a dry windscreen but glide nicely if you keep the fluid jets on? With the failing relay issue I guess it would be as bad on a wet or dry windscreen.

I had issue where the wipers would just grab and skip on the downstroke. It's violent enough that it activates the raised position. I believe this happens because I wash the entire car with Turtle car wash and wax and the wipers don't like it.

I keep a box of hospital grade wipes in the boot - after I wash my car I give the windscreen a good scrub, haven't really had an issue since.

Let me know if either of these suggestions worked, if only to confirm my own theory.

I went to try it today and my CD player broke! lol What a POS! Dealer is ordering a new ML head unit and will replace it under warranty.

I did however tried playing a DVD movie in my service advisor's GS which is the same as mine and it only plays on the left side of the screen like my 2014. No full screen option unfortunately. Damn this dinosaurs tech.
