I also had the Primacy MXV4 on my car when it was new. Switched to the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ and thought they were quite an improvement over the Primacy MXV4. However, they are approaching end of life, and seem to be getting somewhat noisy on the highway. I may try one of the higher rated Grand Touring Tires this time but hope I don't miss the performance feel.

There was a recent thread in Car Chat on these tires.

Anyone have any experience with Vredestein tires?

My question is for people who like spirited driving, and getting though 6" of snow. Has anyone found a tire that will grip in the summer and pull you out in the winter?

There was also one in the 4GS forum earlier in the year where the OP said he liked 'em: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...-tirerack.html

Depends of what kind of driver you are. If you enjoy driving and like to push the car sometimes a good option would be either Michellin CrossClimate or the Vredestrein. Both excellent choices if performance is important. If you want to putz around town and want a more "comfortable" tire and I put comfortable in "" because it's subjective, the Pirelli might be a good option. For my taste, it was a bit too soft riding and sidewall flex a bit much for my driving style.

Hold up here. Y'all keep pushing the Cinturato P7s, but they don't seem to come in our sizes, even for upsized applications (RWD F-sport)? Does non F-sport and AWD have a different size? What gives?

Lots of nice rebates on those tires till end of the year on GY.

$100 instant savings today and $150 rebate by 12/31.
Seconded, They're expensive tires but well worth the price! Like riding on cloud but also having really good traction in the rain.

The 2017 GS 350 AWD FSport takes 235/40-19. P7AS+ is available in that size.

Ah derp, I knew that, just a momentary slip. Regardless, I guess these sizes only work for AWD models. Any recommendations for the RWD F-Sport models? I'm not sure if there are any good GT tires that can stack up with the likes of all seasons tires like AS3+ and DWS?

I am not sure as I have always had square setups.

On another note, the P7 AS+ 2 just showed up on Tirerack. Not much info yet.

Interesting, should technically be better than the first one, hopefully the changed don't effect the ride comfort/quality:
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...Season+Plus+II
"Designed to be driven in America's diverse weather conditions, the Cinturato P7 All Season Plus II features lower weight, less rolling resistance and reduced noise while enhancing wet braking and year-round traction, even in light snow.Compared to the previous-generation tire, Cinturato P7 All Season Plus II tires use an updated tread compound and internal construction with a focus on enhancing wet braking and traction. This compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design that blends dry handling with wet road and wintertime traction. A continuous outboard shoulder promotes steering response while the pitch sequencing and phasing of multiple inboard tread block sizes reduce pattern noise. Four wide circumferential grooves help evacuate water to increase hydroplaning resistance while engineered lateral and longitudinal sipes increase the number of biting edges to enhance wet road and wintertime traction.

Internal construction of the Cinturato P7 All Season Plus II is optimized to work with the enhanced compound to provide the most benefit to drivers. To improve high-speed durability, handling, ride quality and wear, the tire's internal structure features twin, lightweight steel belts reinforced by variable-tension, spirally wrapped polyamide.

Note: Cinturato P7 All Season Plus II tires are designed and produced using eco-focused manufacturing methods, in addition to featuring low rolling resistance (LRR) compounds and constructions to enhance vehicle fuel economy. These tires are identified as such with Pirelli's Ecoimpact designation on their Sizes and Specs pages."
