Yup. You'll need new sd card. Those cards are locked to the unit and are not Interchangeable. They must have sent you a unit with the wrong SD card. Let them know you need to buy a new maps card. They may be able to refund you the cost of the card.

Thank you for the reply brother. I spoke to the junkyard and they said that they never removed the sd card in the first place. Do you think I should still roll the dice and get a new SD card?
My next project, retrofitting 2016+ Nav into a 2013 GS.
I have a couple junk yard leads were I can potentially get all the parts for under $800, not including the profit from flipping a display unit I scored on eBay for $52, or what I would get reselling my original parts if this mod works out. Potentially only costing me a couple hundred dollars at the most.

For some reason 2016 has an extra brown plug the 2017+ don't have, I think it's a separate video/information output for the instrument cluster, I won't need that since I plan on keeping my 2013 cluster:
Since I already figured out video output and antenna connections from 2015, I won't have to mess with any wiring, I think...
For this mod I would need a 2016+ 12.3" display screen, a 2016+ Radio/head unit, and 2016+ console nav controls. Based on my current setup that should all be plug and play.
Some Russian guy has done this already.

No can be from any model GS. Mine are not from a 450h. The only thing I noticed is when you switch drive modes it doesn't display the graphic on the 12.3" display. it just shows it in the dash. I actually prefer this so it's not advertising to the passengers every time I change driver modes. Even before I did the upgrade I was trying to find a way to turn that graphic off. If you have a 2013-2014 your backup camera will not show on the screen. I fixed this by installing an aftermarket backup camera in the oem spot in the trunk lid and wiring it to my Carlinkit(wireless aftermarket carplay unit). Everything else works.

Thanks for the info, yeah that was annoying, I'm going the android route and wanted to utilize the entire 12 inch screen, split screen with my own apps.
BTW how did you do your bag setup in the trunk? I want to run two 2.5 gal tanks and two 444 compressors, was hoping to fit it all in the spare tire area but not sure if it's going to all fit, that setup fits in other cars.
Also did you run any arms? I'm going to run t-demand in the front and figs in the rear, weds bazreia 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 both offsets at 36, still not sure on the tire setup until i get everything installed. I do want to run closer to a 40 rather than a 35 to keep the mph closer to stock just in case it messes with hybrid system.

My cars not bagged, stock suspension. Your defiantly going to rob a lot of trunk space with that setup, probably need some rig to stack the two tanks on top of each other.

So I have access to a 2017 to remove parts from. they're letting me remove the screen & headunit, Is it hard to get the video wire out from the harness? Just didn't want to sit there for hours trying to rip the dash apart just to get that wire out. Anyone try retrofitting the screen in the cluster?
Also wondering what else I should take out of there, thinking the folding mirrors & switch, center nav controller and shifter/boot. Anything else you recommend to get for a 2013 450h? Someone got the the tail lights for $200, Was sad that I didn't get to get those, but I'm getting the headunit and screen for $500
Has anyone gone to a 2018+ from 2013 with a GS450h? I don't get all the Hybrid data anymore, I just get the energy reading, but I no longer get my cruising distance or a past history. I don't have the center nav console yet but I noticed I can't get the full screen, it's always split could this be due to not having the nav console, I've only seen it in full screen once when I first booted., I can get full screen when I load into android.

There is a button on the map to make it full screen.
